Great product, use them at work often, great for the home mechanic. Test your wires without cutting thru them snd having to re tape them and leave it vulnerable for shorts later on. A true time saver around the shop.

Looked for something like this for years. First set I was unable to figure it out as there are no directions. To me this was a new tool. It really does make a tiny pin prick in a wire and with an assistant you can label which wire controls the turn signals and the brake light and the flashers or any other wire you need to connect. If you are concverned about a pin prick in a wire get a bottle of plastic coat that makes a seal on the wire you just pin-pricked to identity its function or you can put a small piece of tape or use that spot to attach a T-Connector to. (Most wiring people will know what that is.).

OKBut wish they were a bit thicker for they tend to slip out of my fat hands.suggestion - make the tips thin and the handles thicker/beefier.

This product is cheap but still works well. My real beef is their no directions. The piercing pin is set as if it were already in the diagnostic position, so common sense says pull up to retract the pin. I pulled the handle of the body, and fortunately, I was able to re-install it. So to retract the pin you push down on the "T" handle. Now inside the "T" handle is a spring or other part to possibly receive a multimeter probe? The point to this a scrap of paper with directions would be helpful. The vendor might consider not everyone knows how this tool works. But it's a whole better than sticking pins into the wire, and just before your set the pin falls out... For the money an occasional use it's a good deal.

Just push down on the spring loaded part and pull up to puncture the insulation. Although I am loathe to damage any insulation, just two wraps with electrical tape and it is as good as new. It;s nice that my multimeter probes fit these probe holes perfectly. The black one is great for checking resistance to ground (Bad grounds) and the red one is good for any positive voltage signal.
