These thin cork straps with adhesive were perfect for adding a little thickness to my existing corks. My cup mute now fits my Getzen 1052. An inexpensive way to do it. Now I can play muted.in the Typewriter by Leroy Anderson!

One of the corks broke on my old Humes & Berg cup mute. For years I put off doing anything about it. Well, I finally got tired of holding the mute in or risk having it crash to the floor during a performance and ordered these replacements. My plan was to replace all 3 corks since the others were rather brittle and dry. Being the procrastinator I am, I only replaced the broken one. The mute stays in the bell like a dream! Highly recommend!

I looked around online and didn't see any information about this, so I thought I'd leave a brief review just to clarify for anyone looking: these cork strips DO fit the Harmon 3-in-1 aluminum trumpet mute. I think you can buy with confidence! More details on the strips and how I used them below:I had an old one (from like, 10-15 years ago) which had a missing cork strip and the other two strips being in questionable condition. I learned that those mutes are pretty expensive online and I only needed it for a total of 3 measures in a set (lol), so I wanted to just revive this mute. What I did: I used rubbing alcohol and a box cutter to strip off the old cork and adhesive to the best of my ability. Then, I wiped it down with nail polish remover and a cotton ball to make sure ALL the old adhesive was off. I stuck the strips of cork on the mute and held for about 15 seconds, and left it overnight before using it. There are no instructions included with these cork strips, but this is pretty standard for many types of adhesives to help it stick.Works fine and fits like a glove today! If I can offer any advice to anyone replacing the cork strips on their straight mutes, it would be this: use a permanent marker or pencil to draw a little dot or line where the strips should go. I will have to go the next 10-15 years between replacing cork strips knowing that one of the strips is slightly uneven to the other two :)
