I was looking for a radio/CD player for my mom but most were expensive and had small buttons and/or little remote controls. I needed something simple that my mother with poor vision could use. This one is great! I did put my own labels on the “play” “stop” “rewind” and “fast forward” buttons so she could see them better. The volume and tuning dials work great for her. The only drawback to the buttons is where the “cd” “off” “am” and “fm” slide button is. It would have been much easier to have “off” at one end or the other. The sound isn’t fantastic for music, but my mom just listens to books on CD’s or to the radio anyway. Thank you for making something simple for a great price! This would be great for kids also!

READ THIS REVIEW. do NOT buy this CD player. i bought it a little while ago and it worked fine at first. then i noticed the sound quality got a little tinny, but it wasn't too bad. kept using with no complaints, when it completely stopped working. the piece that spins the cd completely stopped working randomly while i was in the middle of listening to a CD. you're much better off getting a higher quality one for close to the same price as this one. DO NOT BUY!!!

We bought this as a gift. It worked well for a bit but then stopped spinning CDs. Lasted maybe 12-18 months. The lack of longevity is frustrating. I can only assume it’s a get what you pay for situation, unfortunately.

UPDATE: Purchased November 2021, stopped worked May 2022. Was great while it lasted but not worth the price for only a few months.Has great sound. I am very happy with this purchase. I listen to audio books and the volume works so that I can hear it throughout the house. Great value for the price.

El producto llegó según el tiempo acordado pero el reproductor de CD duró literal 2 canciones. Probamos el reproductor y se oía bien, nada wow. Después, al querer usarlo nuevamente, hacía un ruido extraño y olía como a cable quemado. Se veía buena opción por el precio pero la experiencia fue pésima.

I got this for my daughter. She likes the pink color, and the price is great. I think the quality of the unit is fine. It's broken, but I think she broke it. The AC receptacle is loose, so I think if we unplug it, I'm thinking we may not be able to plug it in again. I don't think this is the fault of the manufacturer, but rather my 6- and 3-year-old children being rough on the unit, which was my plan.It's plenty loud, and good enough quality. Of course, no bass to speak of, but the buttons work well, reads CD-R, repeat functionality, etc. The action of the CD cover is fine: push-to-close and push-to-open. We don't use the radio functionality.

Using in my girls' room for music they listen to at night to go to sleep. It's a little chintzy looking and feeling, but so far so good. I think we've had it a month and the CD player still works fine. Never used anything else on it so I can't comment on the radio. Wish it had a tape player, but we still have a nice Emerson that has one.Update: The CD player is the only part we use, no radio. My girls use it every single night to go to sleep, same CD every night. I usually am the one to push the buttons, but my 8 year old is also allowed to if need be. It never leaves the dresser, and rarely do I open the CD "door". It quit working over a month ago, so it lasted maybe two months. It will just quit playing, or not even start playing. It'll repeat the same song over and over. It's very frustrating to pay for a product that only lasts such a short time. Believe the reviews people - it's JUNK! You may get lucky and get the one in each few hundred that actually lasts, but don't take the Russian roulette chance. I know it's cute, it's pink, or it's the whatever color you always wanted, but it isn't worth it. Get an ugly colored one that actually works - because getting one that works is what matters most, trust me!
