I originally bought a different brand and I felt that those were asking to break, as not much if any "give" to the arms. Rather rigid plastic. These are flexible enough not to snap off, yet strong enough to hold the paddles snuggly.

If you glue it and screw it into place, it will hold the paddle very well.

Easy install, could not rivet. Attached to the side of Pelican Bass boat, paddle is loose but will not fall out. Very sturdy, worth the money.

Bought these to install on a new kayak not realizing the kayak had a built in paddle holder. Installed anyway as an addition on the side of the kayak but later ended up taking them off due to interference in paddling. They installed easily (two screws) but recommend using small washers behind the screw head because they will pull through the rubber if overtightened (4 star), guilty of that. They held the paddle well enough and was also easy to get in and out of clamps. might install them on front of kayak to hold paddle when stopped in water and need an extra pair of hands.
