Got it last week. Made a few jobs. Great temp control. Can get very hot with MAP gas.Lights up every time.If durability is there, I will be very satisfied.

I saw someone online using one of these and thought there's no way this will actually help with soldering...it's does and comes with a clip to hang the bottle on your belt so you have both hands free to soldering and the tube is long enough to sold3r 4-5ft overhead and really allows for some extra versatility inside walls ect. Worth all the monies

It works, it heats, but it could be better. I bought it because of the hose and the fact that it lets you use it at any angle and in tighter spaces. The hose is really too short to be practical and I am always knocking over the cylinder. 2-3 more feet would be wonderful. I have no quantitative data to back this claim, but it does not seam to heat as fast as like a Bernzomatic. But it keeps working, I use it, its fine, 4 stars.

This torch provides a nice tight pencil flame that provides intense heat. I used in to install a new refrigerator compressor, filter-drier, heat exchanger and evaporator in our refrigerator using high silver content, refrigeration grade solder. The copper is brought up to soldering temperature within a few seconds. I like that the flame is adjustable. My only wish is that the ignition would be coupled with an on-off ignition/valve like my Benzomatic torches. This would make flame control easier inside a tight compartment ... either that or someone needs to find a way to give me a third arm.

I was nicely surprised how well this works... kind of expected it to operate ok, but it's really great and is so easy to use and gives me great flexibility and reliability and operating control... fantastic tool

I appreciate the flame adjustability of this tool and build quality.The simple button-click mechanism for ignition and shutdown is a great feature.Although it’s very important to remember to turn off the gas bottle separately, this doesn’t detract from the overall convenience.As a DIY person, I rely on this torch with my camping propane tank, and it performs exceptionally well.I am not a heavy user so I am not sure how long it can be used for but it work for a min for me without spoiling the shaft or ignition system.In my opinion, it’s a fantastic investment.

The advertisement claims that you can use Mapp Gas. Ater just a few uses, when I pull the trigger, an oily liquid drips out, and continues during use. I think it might be the hose breaking down, but I'm not certain. For the price, it's a lousy unit. The product support is no good, if your question doesn't fit the ten or so categories listed, you reach a dead end. I would not buy this again. My mapp gas works well with other torches.

I got tired of trying to pluck all the weeds out between cement tiles on my patio every summer so I bought a propane torch to burn them off. The problem is once the tank goes down a little bit then the flame goes out constantly when you tip the tank a bit towards the weeds .I bought this device, it screws on to the tank nicely and allows you to keep your propane tank upright while burning the weeds. Very easy to start, that has a nice knob on it to control the intensity of the flame or to turn it off.

Sparked right up, used briefly, but seems to work just fine. Like the dexterity of having the tip on a hose, instead of sitting directly on the tank. ( it allows you to tip the tip over bottom up and not have flare up as is the case when you turn the bottle upside down… good stuff!!
