These sticks have round tip, so the point of contact on cymbals and drums is lesser than other sticks. This model is longer than other models.1. Sticks are not supposed to be bound with tape. It leaves sticky residue on the sticks which makes playing uncomfortable. They don't feel free while playing.2. The branding cover on the pair of drumsticks was missing. That is unusual.3. The tip of the stick was chipped. This means these sticks were already used. You have sent me a used product.

love length and feel . round tip has a feel that fits my playing best.great to see maple being offered now that regal tip are impossible to get. as always with maple you experience surprise crack ..... but worth using carefully and enjoyably . WORTH a TRY .Just wish sticks didn't jump to $15 from average $10 50 percent increase ...wonder who did that

Having been advised round-head sticks would be good for digital-mesh-heads, I decided to give these a try. The balance is excellent and as advertised there is more weight to the rear of the stick, which improves bounce. Having large hands, I went for the 5B rather than 7A.

I use these every weekend in a large room with concrete floors and high ceiling. It helps cut the volume where the drums become overpowering for the band. I play normal. The sound is reduced but still have the attack full drum sound without having to go the hot rods/bundle sticks.

The sticks are perfect, high quality, matched perfectly. Nice and thin and light, just kind I was looking for, and hickory

I've been playing drums for 52 of my 55 years on this planet. When I began, ProMark the stick to pros used, but I always found them to be heavy and slippery. Over the decades I've played a wide variety of sticks, but always passed by the ProMark bin. When I saw the promos for this stick, I decided to give them a try and I was not disappointed. They are well-balanced, comfortable and durable. Though I now play bass primarily, I've told all the drummers I gig with about them, and when they try mine, I have a hard time getting them back!!!

The ProMark Finesse 2B maple stick is a great alternative for the SD1 or any other general band/orchestra snare drum stick. It has great balance and control with a thicker diameter than a regular drum set stick. Since it’s maple and not hickory or oak, it doesn’t have the added weight that a bigger stick would normally have.I personally use it for practicing daily hand exercises on a Real Feel 12” practice pad. I go through the first page of the classic snare exercise book Stick Control and get a fantastic workout with this stick.Compared to their standard hickory counterparts, the Finesse models have a little more length and a round tip rather than an acorn tip. I prefer round tips as I find them more consistent on ride cymbal tone, but YMMV.I would also recommend this stick for singer-songwriter and classic country, or anything else that doesn’t lay into a heavy backbeat, because the maple sticks won’t last very long vs a hickory or oak stick.Durability: 3/5 - it has a thicker diameter and will last longer than a 5A or smaller maple stick, but doesn’t compare to the durability of hickory or white oak.Lightweight: 5/5 - this is a very comfortable stick that feels great in the hands and has near perfect balance. You’ll be able to achieve great control from the thicker diameter without the added weight of a hickory or oak stick.Versatility: 4/5 - This stick is great for lower volume songs and genres and is a fantastic stick for the practice pad. I would not recommend for rock, punk, metal, gospel, etc, or anything with a powerful backbeat, unless your a seasoned pro that knows the limits of the stick.

I think these are the perfect size sticks for me. The extra length gives it a nicer rebound but they are still nice and light. They sound great on the ride cymbal.

I work off an E-Kit most of the time and find I do not require to use the same sticks as I would on my acoustic set, so I tried these.I find these to be every well balanced and light weight maple set. I really like having the 7a Long as it does give me an easier reach. I had not tried a long stick before but will try to us it every time when possible. Believe it or not that extra 1/2 inch can make a difference. As for sturdiness, these are maple and I can already see some wear of the shoulder and neck. Remember I stated I am using these on an E-Kit so I am not striking your normal metal cymbals. For this reason, being maple and a thinner lighter 7A stick, it may not do so well for heavy hitters. But for those who are lighter and gentler on thier hits or working off an e-kit these are great.

With these sticks you can get around your kit quicker without tiring your self out as fast. Good rebound for doubles and tripples can even performe quick singles with little stress. Has more of a tap feel than hammer. If a hardder hit with speed is needed get the hickoru or even oke sticks in 7a weight increase will be noticeable between each wood though
