THese work good. I still prefer my earmuffs. Especially in the indoor range, I use both at the same time. They come with different size earplug tips for your different ear sizes. YayThey come in a case that charges them. This is similar to your other brands of earbud for your phone.I had one weird thing happen where, after 2 days in my gun case, they started beeping like crazy. I reseated them in the case and they got quiet. Not sure what that was about.Shooting outdoors, these are pretty good. Indoors, I would still recommend both plugs and earmuffs.Do they filter out the loud bang? Yes. I would like it if they turned up a little higher, but it was perfectly workable. I just like overpowered bionic ears.Recommended.

These PROHEAR earbuds are designed for hearing protection, which I didn't fully understand when I ordered them. They aren't meant for listening to music, but they do a good job of protecting your ears from loud noises. They fit comfortably in my ears, and the different ear tip sizes helped me find a good seal. The noise reduction is noticeable, especially when I'm at the shooting range. I like that they amplify quiet sounds, so I can still hear conversations and range commands clearly. The rechargeable feature is convenient, and the battery life seems pretty decent. The earbuds come with a small carrying case, which is helpful for keeping them organized. It took me a little while to get used to the sound amplification, but now I find it quite useful. I've used them for several shooting sessions, and they've held up well. If you need reliable hearing protection, these earbuds are worth considering. Just remember, they aren't for music listening, but for protecting your hearing in loud environments.

In operation, I found they worked just fine during testing for both 17 HMR and 12 gauge shotgun. I can hear everything, including the report from the shot but everything is kept to tolerable levels. They fit comfortably in my ears and stay put. They also come with a wide variety of sizes for different ears and you are certain to find something to fit.My main concern is with the charging box. The magnets and/or connection contacts between the earbuds and charging box don't appear very reliable and sometimes it takes two or three tries when placing them in the charging box for them to snick into place and the connection to be acknowledged by the green LED in the box.If you place them in the box without the proper connection being made then close the lid on the box, they squeal like a stuck pig from feedback. More troubling, they sometimes make the connection but then come loose while bouncing around in your vehicle or, like happened to me, come loose for no apparent reason at all. Once they lose connection to the charging box they activate and the feedback begins. I woke up one morning to find them squealing like banshees inside the charging box on my desk in the den. They had lost their connection to the charging box and activated, causing severe feedback and eventually draining the battery. The last gripe I have is with the user manual. Why are these overseas companies so cheap that you need an electron scanning microscope to read the print?

The instructions are not that good and you cannot talk to a tech about the proper usage of these

I really wanted to like these. I wear glasses, and when I spend a longer day at the range, the ear muffs that I normally wear start to create pressure points around the ears by pressing the glasses' earpieces into my head. These earbuds would eliminate that from happening. Unfortunately, I was pleased with their performance. This issues started immediately when I attempted to charge them. As other reviewers pointed out, it's difficult to get them to start charging without applying downward pressure to the earbuds in the case to ensure they are making good contact with the charging points. I finally got them charged, but it took longer than I expected.I decided that a good test would be using them at an upcoming event at my club, where I'm one of the ROs who rotates during the matches. I took these and my normal muffs as a backup. These earbuds created a good seal when inserted, and they had good noise-dampening when not turned on. However, as soon as I turned them on, I noticed a hum or buzz. It wasn't to the point that prevented me from conversing with other members, but it was noticeable. The real problem occurred when the line went hot, and the firearm reports started rolling in. The clipping of the loud noises was associated with a squelching sound in the buds. I attempted to adjust the volume, but it had little effect. Even more challenging was that the squelching prevented me from hearing important conversations directed my way. I ended up turning them off and shifting back to my amplified muffs.Overall, I was very disappointed with their performance. I gave them one star. Your hearing and range communication are two things you can't compromise on. Even though they did "work," with the significant drawbacks of these earbuds, I cannot recommend them.

The worst sounding electronic hearing protection I’ve ever owned. Constant buzzing

I’ve been testing these electronic earbuds, and while they’re comfortable and do a decent job amplifying sound for conversations, I’m still unsure about their noise-blocking capabilities. They’re supposed to dampen sounds over 27dB, but when a contractor was using a nail gun next door, I could hear every shot as if I wasn’t wearing anything. The charging case is convenient for recharging the earbuds, but I’ve had some confusion about how they turn on and off when going in and out of the case, as the instructions aren’t very clear. I’m planning to take them to the shooting range soon to see how they perform in a louder environment, but I’ll definitely be bringing a backup just in case they don’t work as expected.
