The problems that I ran across are very small and were easy to fix. This starter was ordered for a 91' Ford F350 with a 460 cid engine. The engine is set up with a two hole mount so the third hole in this starter just wasn't used. The original starter had one of the holes tapped so the bolt would go from through the transmission bell housing first then bolt into the starter. Just used a bolt that wasn't included to bolt through the two non tapped holes. On this year Ford a relay is used in the engine bay to energize the starter and this starter uses a solenoid to actuate the bendix and energize starter. So I moved the wire that went from the starter to the original relay to the battery post and a separate wire from the relay actuator to the back of the solenoid on the new starter. As to the performance of the starter, it works just fine. Spins the engine during starting a bit faster. Nothing to get excited about but works just fine.
