Very thick fabric: it is good for contact sport (it will not tear easily), but it does not breath as well as lighter fabric (there is always a trade off).The elastic are wide which add to the comfort.My only real complaint is that it runs small... They advertise that they are extra long, but I am 6'2" and ordered the largest (size 7: supposedly 6'5"-6'8") and they are still a bit small for me.
