This light is inexpensive but it has held up really well for me, for the cost. I bought it over 9 months ago and it's just now wigging out of me. Mind you, I use it every day underwater for 2-6+hours. I use the rechargeable CBJJ 3200mAh batteries instead of AAA. I get about 2-3 hours per battery on high.I imagine a bit of water slipped in and started corrosion which is causing it to strobe and turn on/off without touching it.I just ordered another one of these to replace the dead one.Only complaint is the beam size. I wish it was wider.

I was excited when I got it; it looked terrific, and the light was very bright. So we had a trip to the Key Largo, and on our first day, we had four dives planned (just reefs, shallow, max depth was 34ft). The uncomfortable part begins at the first dive; this light has no on-off switch or button!! Instead, you have to twist the end of the flashlight to switch the modes or even turn it on or off. So the light was attached to my BCD and was perfectly and comfortably dangling, I was my buddy tried to signal me about my flashlight, and when I looked at it, it was on(i didn't even turn it on/have no idea how it got turned on on its own). So after a couple of unsuccessful tries to twist a little to the left and a little to the right - nothing happened, and I gave up (i put it in the BCD pocket so it would not distract other divers). When we got back to the boat, I finally turned it off. Well, the worst part happened at the second dive. At a depth of 23ft, it blew up!! Literally!!! It was so loud we couldn't understand what had happened; it was like something had happened on the boat above us. But when I looked down, I saw parts of my flashlight falling to the bottom of the ocean. Of course, I didn't leave it there since it wasn't that deep. But I decided I would better invest money in the good one (not cheap!) so I can use it since most of my dives will be wrecks.I would not recommend buying this flashlight!

The flashlight works awesome. Very bright to see those dark areas while diving. I had to buy a second one. The Velcro strap is kind of cheap and wouldn’t fit my wrist with my wet suit on. But I bought a additional hand thing that the flashlight slides into. Works great together

It is pretty darn bright. It is supposed to have three settings, which are flashing light, medium brightness, and full brightness. I was only able to use flashing and full brightness because, and this brings us to the major design flaw, when I turned the mechanism for adjusting the light settings I kept jumping from flash to bright. The mechanism for adjusting the light is also the mechanism for removing the batteries. So twist all the way to the right and you’re at full brightness. Twist all the way to the left and you’re opening up the flashlight. Somewhere between right and left are three ambiguous zones which you, damp handed and in the dark, are expected to navigate. There is no detectable locking click that tells you that have found the zone… Just you twisting back and forth and back and forth, then giving up. And also, you cannot turn it on or off underwater. So if you don’t want the light on for a moment while you and the flashlight are wet, you can do like I did and stuff the still-on flashlight into your pocket. 🤷🏻♀️

I paid £18 for this and wasn't sure on the quality or performance. After one dive I can say the following.Positive: It's pretty bright and being flourscent yellow easy to spot! It asted the 30mins of our dive with no noticable loss of power or brightness.Negative: I'm not sure about the three modes. I could only find one, on/off. The twist on/off was very tight and hard to engage with gloves. Lubricating the thread with silicon grease seems to have helped. As a starter torch or spare I would say this is reasonable value.Pictures taken at about 25m. Pics 1 & 4 taken inside the wheel house and hold respectively. All pics are sceeen shots from GoPro footage.

The design is reliable, cheap, albeit cumbersome. For normal recreational depths, This light would be a nice cheap backup to your primary light. for $15 ($12 sometimes) it's effectively disposable to me.A Little difficult to turn on and off, but the twist cap won't fail unless you snap an o-ring or throw it at a rock.Really wish it had a better place for a bolt-snap though.Bright enough to get you out of most dark places on deeper rec/night dives. Obviously, it's not a cave light.

People are always curious about the unknown, me too. I occasionally dive to observe the underwater world, but you know that there is not enough light at the bottom. I need a waterproof flashlight, I bought this product. Whenever the light under the water is bad, I turn it on, it can illuminate the underwater environment. And I found that it has a certain amount of electricity can be maintained for a relatively long time. I like this flashlight, I bring it whenever I go underwater.

did not work whilst diving - not water proof at all - used them once and they were all flooded (batteries and lights)
