Item arrive a lot sooner that indicated which it always a nice surprise. It would almost be perfect but it did have 1 branch that was damaged. Not the sellers fault but a slight disappointment non the less.

The only reason I didn't give this tree 5 stars was because it turned up without the bauble. I'd read how the bauble often arrived smashed as it was glass, so I may have received a returned item. It's easy to purchase a safer plastic one, and it almost adds to the 'imperfections' that make this tree so special.

I checked out several reviews for this product and similar ones before making my purchase and I'm glad that I did. Apparently, there are a few manufacturers who make the "Charlie Brown Christmas Tree" and some of them don't get very good reviews. At $20, I knew that this wasn't going to be a stellar piece of construction. But I didn't want something that looked totally cheap, either. I'm happy with this particular version of the famous tree. Out of the box, it is certainly recognizable and is appropriately simple. All you have to do is screw the two baseboards together, fluff out the branches a little, bend one and hang your red ornament. The branches are short and quite sturdy, so be careful when moving them. They are also slightly flocked, which gives the needles a nice, sparkly appearance. This version doesn't come with Linus's blue blanket, but the ones that do are little more than silly pieces of felt. My family immediately recognized the tree without the blanket, although my eventual plan is to stop by the local fabric store and spend a couple of bucks on a piece of fabric of my choosing. It's a good product for the price!
