Excellent tool for tracing wires, finding “lost” irrigation valves, and verifying that valve solenoids work reliably. Can also be used to trace wires that are not buried too deeply, e.g., less than 2-4” deep, and to distinguish which wire at a valve runs back to a controller. Also works to trace electrical and network wiring.

I haven't tried the tester yet so can't comment on its operation. But it is irritating to have no user manual and no warranty information included. I spoke to Armada tech to confirm that paperwork should have been included but there was nothing.

Did a great job when my sprinkler system had to be repaired. Made the job so much easier.

I needed to determine why my lawn sprinklers were not working. I have 3 zones in the backyard area and none of them worked. With the aid of the Pro48K I was able to determine that the sprinkler valves were working, the solenoids were working and once I determined the valve diaphragms were not torn or worn, it left only the wiring to the valves. Once I replaced the wiring, everything worked.

I found three lost sprinkler valve boxes with the solenoid chatterer. This product saved me countless hours of using other less-effective methods. It's true that the volume of the sound coming from the solenoids is entirely dependent on the solenoids themselves--and the amount of dirt or grass on top of the valve boxes--but with a little patience and a quiet environment you can hear the clicking and find the valve. The sound is kind of like a heartbeat.

Product did as it says but the low clicking "chattering" sound was not enough for me to hear for my application.
