This extractor is made of a very soft metal, so it deforms easily. Using it outside of its intended spec will ruin the tool.That said, it was suggested by other Amazon reviewers that this will handle MLX .084" terminals. That is completely false. Molex MLX pins are actually 2.7mm (.1"), which is the OUTSIDE DIAMETER of this tool. One try and the extractor tip ripped and mushroomed. Totally destroyed.This is a good looking extractor, but as flimsy as it is, I don't see it lasting very long under any circumstance. Just dropping it on the tip would mar it beyond use.Amazon upheld their "Guaranteed Saturday Shipping", so no complaints there.

Purchased this tool for extracting Molex-type 0.083" SOCKETS. This tool works great on extracting 0.083" PINS. Unfortunately, the INNER DIAMETER is too small for the mating SOCKETS - it won't slide over them (socket OUTER diameter is approx. 0.1"), especially if they've already been "mated" with pins.Otherwise, I like how the tool feels and operates.
