Perfect size for water in crate. Just so she has a little water when she’s eating. We feed her in her crate to keep them calm and no issues with food aggression.

I bought this on recommendation by a dog groomer to control my puppy's urge to splash her drinking water with her paw. It works great and she enjoys drinking from the bucket.

I travel for work and on long travel days I put my dog in a crate in the rear of my truck cab for safety. I’m able to hang this small pail inside her crate, attached to the wire door with a carabiner, and it doesn’t roll around and make a huge racket because of the flat side. It stays put without rattling so doggo can have fresh clean water when in the crate. Stainless steel no no worries about rusting. 👍🏼

Very good quality bucket. The are two things I particularly appreciate it about it over the alternatives.(1) no sharp edges or hooks anywhere on the bucket. This is important because it lives in a crate that stays in my car and I don't want the dog injured by bumping into the bucket because of rapid deceleration/acceleration or catching his collar on hooks attached to the side of the bucket.(2) The product sticker at the bottom of the bucket remover very easily. I can't tell you how many similar dog bowls and buckets had stickers that I either had to (a) put a lot of elbow grease into removing along with the adhesive, or (b) had to apply some pretty nasty chemicals that I really didn't want to put into a food/water bowl, or (c) both. So the thoughtfulness that went into selecting the correct adhesive for the sticker was much appreciated.

This are optimal to feed dogs with for a deluge of reasons: 1) They are virtually indestructible; I have been using mine for nearly 30 years of daily use; 2) Use them in a crate to teach a dog that their special room is where they are fed and treated; 3) Feeding in their crate eliminates the need to have a placemat somewhere in your house with a dog bowl or two where people trip over it and it attracts pests; 4) Pails are fully dishwasher safe (keep a few extras on-hand to take in the car, have some in use, some in the dishwasher, and another at the ready to use; 5) If you have multiple animals and have concerns about "policing" feeding time so that all get their proper ration (no more from stealing and no less from being stolen from) then feeding like this in crates will solve those problems too. 6) This method = No crud, clean floors, good eating habits, confirms portion control, incredibly durable product. Honestly, after using this method and having my guests swoon over how effective it is, I wonder how/why anyone would use any other method.

I bought this for a driving trip I took with my dog. I wanted something that would hold water in his crate without spilling easily, and this was perfect. I bought this to attach it to his wire crate. He's a miniature poodle, so this held enough water for him at about half full, and was easy for him to drink from. I switched it from hanging inside the crate to outside depending on where we were, and it was much better than trying to keep a water dish from tipping.Before I bought this I noticed the reviews complaining about rust. I had no problem whatsoever; it arrived in good shape and did not have the slightest discoloration. I don't use it daily, but if I have any trouble with it in the future I'll update this review.

I really like the flat sided pails as they sit on the sides of crates and cages better without having the pail tilted out to be hit. They were heavy duty enough to resist denting. The only thing that I didn't like was that the label was attached to the inside bottom of the pail and they would not come off. I had to buy a special glue remover to get it off so I could use them as I had tried soaking them, nail polish remover and a knife to scrape them off. I thought that was ridiculous. Other than that I am expecting years of use from them.
