This new and improved version has a recessed arrowhead in each corner so that the baseball card's corners are never touched. It also has a white frost on all four sides of the card which makes the baseball card stand out better. Small and compact compared to traditional style four screw screwdowns which allows for storage of many in smaller spaces particularly in monster boxes or shoe boxes. What made the one screw screwdown popular is the fact that you get all the benefits of a four screw, as far as protection of the baseball card goes, but with only having to use one screw instead of four.

I ordered a 5 pack of these card holders. Three out of the five came with a sharp notch sticking out of the bottom (probably from the manufacturing process). These can be shaved down with a razor blade. Four out of five came with multiple scratches fresh out of the packaging, so I am guessing they will continue to accumulate more rather quickly. Overall, not the product to select to display a cherished trading card! And the most disappointing part was that one was missing the screw needed to hold the case closed. (They only ship with one screw per case in the plastic wrapped package.) The package with the missing screw didn’t even have a hole or tear and was once again something most likely missed by poor quality control.
