Hake brushes typically lose some bristles but I thought this one would be a little better as it was recommended to me but still left bristles all over the paper. According to Google there’s some tricks for keeping this from happening, haven’t tried yet so maybe there’s hope for this brush yet

I paint full time watercolor. Mostly greeting cards but also paintings of all sizes. I first bought this brush many years ago on a local shop for $2. Used for many years. I finally needed a new one. I use for large washes of sky, land, or water. Gives a nice spontaneous stroke. Now the bad news. This brush sheds like a hound dog. There will be bristles in everything you paint. You’ll need to become adept at getting them out of your wet paint. If you paint over them, there they will stay.

This brush cost over $15 and is shedding hairs like crazy after 1 use. The shedding is so profuse, it's like the bristles aren't even attached. I've been buying paintbrushes for over 30 years. This is the worst one I've ever used. Look elsewhere.

Natural fluffy white goat hair, as expected. Picks up, holds and transfers a huge amount of water smoothly to the Watercolor paper. It will last me for years.

Very well made. Nice long handle. Soft well-set bristles. Great for washes and making large marks if desired. I higly recommend this brand.

Ordered a 2 Inch Hake and the seller shipped a 1.5 Inch one instead. Since it serves the purpose, I am not returning it. But definitely not happy with the experience.

You can't really see it in the picute, but there's brass holding the brush together. If you are using this for darkroom photography (or any other chemical process) you cannot have metal anywhere on the brush. It was at least easy to remove; took some nail clippers and put back together with twine.

Beautiful hake brush. Nice flexible bristles. What can you say about a hake brush? Great brush, great price, happy me. :-D

This is one wild and crazy brush. Not expensively made, but i was not looking for an expensive hake anyway. It does what a hake is supposed to do, i.e. carry a lot of water, or color to the paper. By mushing it around the bristle points do stick out for leaf effects, etc. Will take some getting used to if you have only used nice, crisp flat brushes. But, I'd buy another one if i needed it, so that's my opinion.
