For rod support / rail system, It used to mount shoulder pad / battery pack block to back of rail system in general. It works if you use it to mount controllers or other accessaries on to your setup.
It can extend application of rod support rail system. Attach shoulder pad, shoulder balance, USB follow focus,magic arm, LCD monitor...If you have more gears, the 4 rods clamp is helpful.

When I switched to a canon 1dx mk2 the added height was too tall for the matte box and follow focus I mount on my rigs rails to reach the lens. I used this to add a lifted set of rails. Worked perfectly. Well built and super versatile.

Works quite well, and I especially like that each rod clamp has its own tightener, rather than the smallrig which tightens two rods at the same time on each side. One negative -- the thumb knobs do not pull out and allow re-positioning. If one of those knobs hits something else in your rig, you'll have to workaround it. It's possible you could replace the knobs with the spring-loaded pull-out kind?

Sturdy and holds tight. I wish you could turn the knobs but other than that it's great for what I use it for.

I was looking for a solution to mount my shoulder pad directly under my camera on a second set of rails and these worked out perfectly. These guys could be really good competition to Smallrig if they produced more items like this. 5 stars!

Perfect!!! Exactly what I needed! Used to mount two 15" rails above the rails I normally use so the matte box can line up with the camera lens when using a battery grip. I don't always have to use the matte box, but when I do, or simply want to, the lens is higher than the matte box and therefore obstructed as a result. This allows it to line up perfectly! High quality. I love the lock adjustments on the sides and for individual rods. The knobs on the side star out of the way and allow for great adjustment. The all black construction will blend with any rig.

I use this on a Nikon d810 rig. I have a battery grip attached to the camera and needed to increase the height for the follow focus to work. I read the reviews of other fixed risers with only 2 tension knobs and how those would not tighten or would loosen too quickly. I had no issues the bandc riser. Everything stayed put and tight. The price is definitely a steal, while a riser from the same manufacture of my follow focus was well over 10x the price.

I bought this and a pair of 4" 15mm rods to mount a matte box and it works very well. This stays clamped down and hasn't moved since I set my camera rig up. I do like the black knobs - a lot of companies are putting colored knobs to "look cool". And while this does resemble a bow tie, I don't want it to look cool. I just want it to work - and it does so wonderfully.
