Unfortunatly as I was assembling it, one of my kids managed to break one of the pegs which basically made the wheel useless. I wish you were given one extra peg and washer in case this happens. The wheel doesn't spin at an even rate with a missing peg. I did try to use super glue to repair the peg, but it just broke again.Other than my personal misshap, the wheel works well and is a fun way for me to do review with my kids for homeschooling. The pole and base are a thick metal. I noted how sturdy they were when put together.The wheel itself, however, is made of foam, so I dont know how well that will hold up over time. I expected it to be made of corregated plastic or something more durable. The foam also allows the pegs to become crooked in their place if too much pressure causes them to press into the foam.
