I have to say I am HIGHLY impressed. They sent care instructions which explains how to clean it for it's first use and how to season it and then later care instructions. This is important.... Part of the seasoning requires garlic.... They seriously included a garlic peeler (haven't tried so can't say how well it works but still super thoughtful) and .... Wait for it .... A bulb of garlic! Way to go over and beyond. I give lots and lots of stars just from the start. It feels very durable and is beautiful! Thank you so much!

I love the wooden base that is included. The mortar and pestilence work very well and the pestilence is a comfortable size and weight when using. Be sure to read the instructions on how to "season" it before its first use.

Every photo on the advertisements for every size show that the bamboo base is easily removed for washing. Mine can not be removed so I exchanged it and the new one will not come off either. Not sure why they advertise this but the base 100% can not be removed. I have the 2cup. It is a very beautiful and well made product though. Would give 5 stars but only for the false advertising and the fact I don’t want the bamboo to warp I gave it 4. Will just wash with care.

Very heavy and attractive, made a guacamole and served it in the container! Stayed cold till the quac was gone. Easy to clean too, I recommend this purchase!

It is as advertised. Been using it for a few days. Instructions to season it before first use are clear. I soaked it overnight. I followed the instructions and I don't taste change in the food, so basically no dust or tiny stone in food. Totally worth it. Make sure to follow seasoning instructions before first use.

It’s a beautiful bowl, however I wasn’t expecting to wash and season the inside of the bowl. It has to be washed a few times, then crush rice into powder, clean again and then season it with 5-6 cloves of garlic by pounding and crushing the garlic around entire bowl. Once completed, it is a great sized mortar and pestle. And attractive granite as well!
