This duck call is for the hunter who needs different calls for all occasions. This is a specific wood duck call and rated very highly. My daughter’s boyfriend had lots of luck with it.

This call is garbage. 1 tone. Get the duck commander instead. Better call

Worst call I’ve ever bought. Looks great from a distance but that’s about all I can say good about it. Now the bad, the call smells like some sort of chemicals really badly and leaves a bad taste on your lips after you try to uses it. The call is clearly not tuned and I don’t even know if you could tune it that’s how bad it sounds not to mention the smell and the taste again so I didn’t even want to waste my time trying. The finish on the exterior is very rough as well. DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY OR YOUR TIME ON THIS CALL, I CAN NOT STRESS THIS ENOUGH. I was too late to return it for a refund so I’m stuck with something that hopefully I can toss in the fire pit. I’m only giving this a one star rather than no stars so that hopefully whoever reads this review will be saved the troubles with this piece of garbage from a big named company. There are plenty of backyard call makers out there that can build you a decent call or any other big brand competitors.

Call sounded great right out of pkg . Have tried several wood duck calls over the years but this one sounds the best ... will probably purchase another soon just to have as a spare

Extremely good call! Very sound accurate !Was a little worried when I first got it cause its written “elk call” below “Classic wood duck” but after using it it officially a woodie duck call.

I find this to be the easiest call to blow to make outstanding wood duck calls. They often ignore the call entirely, but other times I've had them get up off the water and fly right in. It all depends on their mood, and this call does the trick if they are in the mood.

I keep this call close during duck season. Duck hunting in my area in the south mostly consists of woodies. This call sounds just like a wood duck and is easy to use.

This is a well made call, but I wanted a duck call because I am raising ducks and wanted to see how they would act with a call. Ordered this one because 1) it was wood and I like that, and 2) because it was inexpensive. When I got it I discovered it was much higher in pitch that a "quack" that I was hoping for. The ducks don't even pay attention to it. HOWEVER, if you are looking for a DOG CALL, then here you go. Our dogs come running every time I squawk this thing. Funny to see the look on their faces, like "Where's the squeeky toy? Where's the squeeky toy?"

I gave this to one of technicians at our firm as a Christmas party gift-swap. Since he is a duck hunter, the ostensible purpose was to give him something useful. Actually, I wanted to humiliate him, as I knew he would be asked to blow it. My stratedy worked. Nevertheless, he was very impressed with it...

I have some Primos predator calls and they are all fine. This is the first Primos duck call I have bought. Big mistake. Sounded terrible out of the box. It actually sounds exactly like the Rabbit in distress call. I think it's the same guts put into a wooden body. I took it apart to see if I could get a better tone out of it by changing the band on the reed, it broke when putting it back together. I guess the wood expanded after it was made. It split down the trumpet when I put it back together. I even lubed the O-rings before I tried it because it was tight. This isn't my first wooden call either. Spend the extra 10-15 bucks and get a Duck Commander or better. I'm very disappointed with this one.

Don't think some of the other reviewers know what this is. IT IS NOT A DUCK CALL for quacking like a hen mallard. It is for calling Wood Ducks. For those that don't know Wood Ducks are a member of the whistling duck group like teal, widgeon and pintail. More accurately might be a Wood Duck whistle? Yes, it is made from wood. Specifically a laminated wood. It does a great job of replicating the Wood Duck Whistle. Good range and allows for a very accurate calling with a little practice.
