Es completamente de plastico. El sonido es fuerte y no tan realista.Lo estuve probando con las palomas que se encontraban afuera de mi casa y si volteban y movian la cabeza con cara de que onda con este vato.Este fin de semana lo llevare al campo a ver que tal jala.La zona a la que voy es ruta de paloma y por lo regular siempre hay unas cuantas. Pero despues de in par de tiros tardan muchisimo en regresar espero con este llamado la espera entre tiros sea menor.Actualizo. Lo use este fin de semana y trate de imitar el sonido que hace la paloma Ala Blanca y al parecer si funciona.Me colocaba en alguna zona cerca de algun arbusto y empezaba a llamar. en menos de 1 minuto pasban una que otra paloma por esa zona y alcanzaba a escuchar como las que estaban postradas cerca empezaban a hacer ruido.Ahora tengo que dominar su uso y manejo para poder llamar y tirar casi al mismo tiempo.;uy recomendable.

easy to use just have to get the right rythm going after that the call works great.one very small issue there where 2 areas that had small pieces of plastic protruding from body of call.from the mold process they where rough on the hands cut them smooth with knife. problem solved. over all quality is good and this thing is easy to use for the price I would definitely recommend this product.

Other reviews that indicate that this call's pitch is higher than a mourning dove's call are correct, as are those that suggest that it's sensitive to being blown too hard or not hard enough. You sort of need to breathe into it rather than blow, but that also means that the call isn't particularly loud. That said, I've found that if I cover up the very bottom portion of the sound hole with a finger while blowing/breathing, the pitch adjusts down to the proper tone. When doing that, however, the "up" pitch of the second portion of the call doesn't blow correctly. I've been able to get doves to respond to the call even without adjusting the pitch, so perhaps that's good enough, especially if you have plenty of birds and are really just looking for something to give them a little pause in flight? If money isn't an option, however, other calls might be a better purchase.Update: I’ve since switched to the Faulk’s call and it is indeed superior for me. The tone and pitch are better. It’s far easier to use effectively. I have even gotten call backs in the field, which I never did with this. It does not come with an easy way to attach to a lanyard or paracord loop like this call does, but all told I prefer the Faulk’s.

The tone isn't quite realistic and maybe I'm just no good but I couldn't convince wary doves to investigate my decoys using this call (so far). For $5 it was worth a shot and maybe I'll get better with it. It is capable of mimicking a dove's call pretty closely, but not exactly. I'm not convinced a more expensive call would work any better. It's a tricky call to duplicate and doves aren't making their call when they are flying around anyway.
