This screen retainer spline is constructed of top quality vinyl that is round in shape. It features a hollow core center, it is serrated on its exterior surface, and it is gray in color. Vinyl screen retainer spline like this one is used to hold fiberglass and aluminum screen material to screen frames of both windows and doors. This retainer spline has an outside diameter of 0.140 inch (9/64 inch) and measures 250 ft. in length.

We had gotten prices to re-screen our rental property windows. The cost was nearly $500. So, we purchased the screen material from Lowe’s & purchased the spline & tools from Amazon. It took awhile to get the hang of it, but eventually did. This spline was definitely worth the purchase. The tool to press the spline into the window frame was a bit tricky. You most definitely have to angle the tool when pressing it in or it will cut the spline. The amount of spline you get with this purchase makes it a bargain. Definitely recommend.

What a great value as opposed to buying the packets with a few feet that will ultimately cost you more than this reel to do all your screens. So what if you have half a reel left. Pass it on to a neighbor or friend!

I needed to redo some old screens on some doors at my house. This spline was the same color and size as the original and did the job perfectly.I particularly liked that this roll had enough spline to allow me to toss some failed attempts without worrying about running out of spline. I eventually got in the grove and got the job done.
