The seat is constructed of rubber while the spring is constructed of steel. It can be used in the installation of other faucets, just make sure to double check the dimensions of your faucet seat and steel spring before ordering or installing. Each package contains 1 rubber faucet set and 1 steel spring.

I futzed with my shower cold water valve for months because I couldn't stand the drip drip drip all night long. Mostly just trying to adjust how tight the valve was closed, but with rarely any success. Finally, I took it apart, inspected and cleaned the valve and put it all back together. Drip drip drip. I do it again taking a close look at the seat and it looks perfect. I put it together and drip drip drip. I purchase this new faucet seat, install it and the drip drip drip is history. So I fixed the leak by replacing a part that looked fine visually, but couldn't do it's job. I bought a spare seat and spring so when the other valve starts it's drip drip drip I'll be ready.
