Your cart is empty.This is a maximum security combo strike that fits 5-1/2 inch and 6 inch hole spacing's on center dead latch and deadbolt. Uses six 3 inch screws that install on the vertical side of the strike closest to the stop molding. These 3 inch screws allow for a strong hold as they drive into the jack stud to help prevent kick-ins. Three #8 x 3/4 inch screws install on the side of the strike closest to the door.

These strike plate are well made and give you extra strength screwing them in to the door jam. My only concern is the stock screws that cam with it are too flimsy and broke on me......use a #8 x 4" deck screw or wood screw if you can find them. They provide a better bite into the wood and they don't break. You will likely need made some modifications to your door jamb when lining up the holes.....in my case I had to make the wholes in the door jamb a little deeper to accommodate the bent over tab..

This latch plate was well made, nicely finished and very sturdy. The long screws supplied add an additional touch of security to my installation and I feel confident my door is secure.

Super-easy to install and came with everything necessary. Unit was slightly bent on arrival, but was easy to straighten with a couple light hammer strikes. No adjustments necessary to the actual door frame as there was a big enough gap, so the entire install process only took about 10 mins.

Installed these over some twenty year old brass(!) strikes on two doors and they worked great. The square openings were large enough for the deadbolt and spaced far enough apart that my non standard door still worked. Both doors do have a quarter inch gap between the door and jam which meant no chiselling out the wood. I used different stronger screws but the they were identical to the ones provided and three inches gets them into the door studs which will take a lot of hammering. They will go through a window if they are that desperate.The door jam is by far the weakest point and getting these at half price made the upgrade entirely worth it.

I recently fixed a door jamb for a neighbour who had their entrance door kicked-in. Instead of spending a few thousands for a new door & jamb combo plus installation, we did a hack job by only replacing the broken section of the jamb on the latch side, with a piece of wood cut into similar LxWxD of the broken section of the jamb. Then we installed this combo door-strike. Very simple process just take your time measuring and testing. It's now even stronger than before it was kicked-in, even though it still looks like the original door. Highly recommend this product to upgrade your entrance door security!

This strike plate is thicker than most original equipment two screw versions, a bit wider, has two solid “tongues” inside the hole for the locks, plus has many extra screw points. All this may mean the jamb needs to be mortised a bit deeper, and wider, to accommodate this new strike plate, if there is little space between the door and jamb, as in my case. However, it is the best first step in reinforcing a door and deadbolt and well worth any “fiddling” around to install. I just wish they offered more colour choices for retrofitting my other doors. Fabulous item!

What a great product! This is exactly what I was looking for to provide some additional support to a steel pre-hung back door that was installed a few years back. I needed to be able to access the door via a key so a safety chain or bar that can't be unlocked from the outside was not an option.I came across the Prime-Line MP10385 strike plate and it fit perfectly without notching the jam as there was a slight gap between the door and the jam when closed which this just help to eliminate.After removing the 4 screws from the old strike plates I set the new strike plate in place against the jam marked and predrilled the jam for the 9 new screw holes and installed the 9 supplied screws (6-long & 3-short) 5-10 minutes and that was it.The increased level of security this provides for the 10 minutes and 10 dollars is impressive!
