It features pre-punched mounting holes and includes necessary mounting hardware. This brass plate has a removable PVC protective coating; Measurements are 4 inch x 16 inch. I ordered two of these. The product itself is fine. Good quality depth. However, it would have cost an additional ten cents in packaging to wrap both items so that the screws enclosed would not scratch the other plate. Additionally, both plates were curled at one end. The outer packaging had no tears or damage. Thus, it seems they were put in the mailer with the damage already done.

I used this to protect the wood framed sliding door. Our dogs tend to scratch at the door when wanting out. I have refinished the door multiple times when the idea of doing this struck me. I attached with double sided carpet tape. No screws....so far. Looks nice and really protects the door.
