About this item

  • Size: 3/8 inch X 1-3/4 inch
  • Allows for lag screw bolts to be installed into concrete, brick and block
  • Inserts into a hole by tapping with a hammer until flush
  • Lag screw expands the lag shield against the walls of the hole
  • Drill hole with masonry drill bit based on diameter on anchor

Lag shield anchors allow lag screws to be installed into concrete and masonry walls. After drilling a hole into the material, lag shields should be tapped into place ribbed side first until flush with the surface. The lag screw can then be installed with a wrench or socket tool. The sides of the lag shield push out against the inside of the hole once the lag screw is installed, thereby locking it in place.

4 of these things are holding up a big ass tv with brackets. A few of them broke while hammering them in so be careful. But they work as advertised.

I have a small wench that I need to use at different locations that only have concrete as a floor. I bought these Lag Shields and they hold the 3.5 ft x 2" x 8" board that I mounted the wench onto these concrete floors. These Lags so far are great... I drilled a hole, put the lag in then screwed the bolt in and these lags expanded and Held very well. When done I remove the bolts and move to another location... I do leave the Lag Shields in but cover the holes with a very small piece of black masking tape so dirt and dust stays out. Lift weight for me is 50lbs or less. My situation is different, most jobs require the bolt to stay permanently and I see this as a great solution for that also.
