These cages are only suitable for very temporary use. Like for travel , etc. It is not suitable size for a bird to " live" in .There are so many on here. It is very concerning because there are many people didn't know any better , see the illustrations and think birds could live in there comfortably.

Super easy to assemble (my 12 year old did it in under 2 minutes without reading the instructions). Safe bar spacing and a nice big door. However, I bought this with the SOLE PURPOSE of being a sleep cage, so my bird can sleep peacefully, away from the sounds of the TV, etc. As other reviews have mentioned, this should not be used as an every day living space for a bird! MAYBE for a finch, but even the littlest birds need space. It serves the purpose that I bought it for though and I am happy with my purchase.

I LOVE this bird cage! I sure hope nobody thinks a bird, no matter how small, should be in this 24/7!!! This is not big enough to be a bird's home. This is an excellent travel cage or sleeping cage if your birds are out all day.The cage part (bars) folds up flat without taking it apart, so you can put it away in a closet or something when not in use. Super cool!! I LOVE the door, it's the easiest and quietest, and it's nice and big so you can just put your bird in and out easily on your finger. The cage is well built, sturdy, and looks super nice (I got the teal one, very nice color, same as the picture). I do wish the food dish doors were bigger and the standard slide type so that I could use my own feeders. I bought this one specifically because of the large front door, and although I think it's way too expensive, I'm super happy I got it! I'm only using it for a travel cage.

This is a suitable TRAVEL cage for small/medium birds (it is not a suitable full time cage for any size bird, please research what appropriate flight cage sizes are if you are looking for that.) - Large door opening to easily put in perches and birds - Actual grate on bottom to separate droppings from feets - Lightweight, not too big, not too small--so easy to carryI have a bunch of different travel cages, but I've had this in green for several years and found I like it best for taking my green cheek conures out to get 30min of sun or on short trips of a few hours, so when I saw this on sale for thirtyish I got the blue. I have to navigate through 3-4 doors to get from my apartment to outside so I was sick of wrestling with my slightly larger travel cages.They are definitely flimsy, make no mistake--prevue hendryx have gotten super cheap with their manufacturing in the past decade. I recommend using zip ties and/or carabiners to secure the pieces, just so nothing pops apart when you're carrying them (as well as the food door on the front, as it's very easy for mischievous parrots to slide open.)

I was expecting by the dimensions listed that this cage would accommodate 2 parakeets but it is only large enough for one. It is good quality but the roof was difficult to get lined up and attached. With the cups on the outside and the covers on them, there is little mess on the floor. It would have gotten a 5 star if large enough for 2 parakeets. Would probably work for 2 finches.
