THIS WHEEL IS NOT SAFE. I had 3 Degus in a 75 gallon tank. I found one of them dead this morning with his head/neck stuck between the wheel and the frame. Obviously he was trying to get on it while one (or both) of the others were running on it and his head got caught between the wheel and the frame. The weight of the degu(s) already on it and the force of its movement literally stranguled him to death. I am so upset. What a horrible way to die! This wheel literally choked him to death. It's heartbreaking. I had once read that these types of wheels aren't safe for any animal that has a longer tail (like rats, mice, etc) because their tails could potentially get caught between the wheel and the frame and injure their tail...but I never imagined that something like this, so SO horrible could happen. I feel awful. I bought this type, trying to save a few bucks, and it ending up costing me a pet's life. Please don't buy this. It's not worth the risk.

Casper, my son's guinea pig, took his time in getting to use his wheel, and now you can't get him off his exercise routine! Excellent construction makes this a joy for him to use.

The product is nice and definitely sturdy however it's extremely squeaky, I have two pet degus who love to chew on things so I can't use anything to make the wheel less squeaky because I don't want them to eat anything they aren't supposed to.

My rats approve! Honey loves this wheel, she’s been running on it almost non stop since I put it on her cage today! Her sister Princess Velociraptor is more wary, but she can see her sister is having a lot of fun and I think she will warm up to it :) the wheel is a little bit squeaky, but nothing too crazy.I probably could have gone a size down, but my girls seem to like the extra tail space haha

The wheel is "okay" but when I received my two wheels there was a base missing so I only got two "wheels" but only one base for one of them to stand on. When I received the replacement it was broken.

While noisy at first (a drop of Pam fixed it) this is an excellent wheel. More than enough room for my rats to run with no fear of injury. Would buy again.
