Totalmente recomendable!

So, my husband and I have two Prairie Dogs. My husband has had ferrets for the last 12 years, and I nursed his last two through their geriatric years. (Just so you have some background on our pet experience.)Pros:-This cage is STURDY!!! Our 2 PDs bent some metal and bit OFF a couple bars in their last cage. ($84 and change cage! http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B004GASVAQ/ref=cm_cr_ryp_prd_ttl_sol_1)-It has TONS of room for a LARGE wheel, litter bowl, food bowls and hammocks.-It took me just over an hour to assemble INCLUDING cutting all the straps and extra cardboard off to get INTO the box and that I put the middle/divider shelf in backwards and I had to take the top half off and put it back on. (side note: I'm a 5'1" 105lb. GIRL with acrylic nails and all).-This cage really is perfect for whatever small animal you want to put in it.-The package arrived in pristine condition, including all the styrofoam inside. No pieces bent, no styrofoam broken or anything. The box came with extra cardboard covering each of the corners and strapped up. There was NO damage at ALL.Cons:-The instructions are SUPER tiny so you really can't read them. And while the instructions label the parts, there are NO labels ON the actual parts. I did mess up and put the tops on the bottom for a second because nothing was labeled and I did put the middle shelf (the divider) in backwards because it was too small to see in the picture.-I still think this cage is pricey, but it IS less expensive than similar ones and it really seems like it will stand the test of times by furry bumbles.Over-all, this cage really is a GREAT BUY. It's worth the price, has tons of room, it's sturdy, looks industrial/sleek/expensive, no fur babies can escape it, it's easy to clean, animals can't fall from the top to the bottom, and if you have animals that fight (we don't, but you might), the middle rack has a detachable door that can be put in to make this two separate cages. Really, take my advise, don't waste your $ buying something cheaper and then kick yourself two months down the line because you are now buying the cage (this cage) you should have bought in the first place!

This cage is ROOMY! While my weasel is used to roaming my apartment, I got a slap on the wrist when my landlord found out, so now I must keep him in a cage (...most of the time, at least ;) ). I was disheartened, because I feel like a ferret needs as much room as possible, and this cage seemed too small to me... I was proven wrong!! While he still gets playtime outside of his cage, it's a nice size for sleeping and stretching. I was skeptical over whether the bars would hold my little boy (he's almost fully grown, but not quite there yet), but it's been three days with no break-outs. Awesome! As for the state of the cage when I received it... Nothing was broken, and the packaging was very well sealed (lots of tape - make sure you have a box-cutter or other sharp blade handy). There is a garish "FIESTY FERRET HOME" with a huge image of a ferret on the box, so it's not discreet at all. So be warned about that, if it's relevant to you. The package is also about 50lbs heavy. It took me about 45 minutes to put together. Unlike some reviewers, I didn't have to use any other tools except for the little screwdriver bit that they send along. What a relief! I only had one main problem while putting it together. The instructions aren't very clear, so I wound up putting the four smaller side-panels in upside down. They have a lip on one end, which is supposed to be on the TOP of the panel (facing into the cage), not the BOTTOM. It's where the second-floor and the roof sits (you also secure them with screws, just fyi. It's a very sturdy cage).Just take a few minutes to look everything over, and you'll be fine. It'd definitely help to have somebody hold the pieces together while you're building it. It's tricky (but not impossible) if you're doing it all by yourself.P.S. The ramps might be too steep and/or slippery for your ferret to crawl up. I remedied this by getting some felt from my local craft store and tying it around the ramps. It gives him enough traction so that he doesn't have to jump-and-scramble from one level to the next. And another tip- if your fuzzy wears a collar, I encourage you to stay on the safe side and remove it whenever they're in the cage... JUST to be extra cautious. I don't see any real hazards in this cage, but I always err on the side of safety with my pets. When he's not wearing it, I clip his collar around the top door for extra security, JUST in case he opens it somehow (a fall from 30+ inches up doesn't sound very promising).
