I would be lost without my pres.cooker, the one that came with the cooker did last a very long time but it needed replacement, the cooker is performing as expected with the new regulator.

Presto would not ship to me in Puerto Rico, but Amazon does. Amazon seems to have everything. If Amazon doesn't have it, either it does not exist or they'll have it next month, just cause you searched for it.

Note: This replacement and the original both have a stainless steel like coating, which lasts with the expected use (as a pressure regulator). If you decide to heat it directly to remove the inside buildup, the coating will come off. Maybe let it sit in a food safe degreaser.

I haven't had a chance to use it yet, but it should be a perfect fit. I've got a really old 6 qt Presto pressure cooker that had no regulator. This regulator is a Presto model for a 6 qt cooker.I can't do without my pressure cooker!

Over time, the original item broke apart. I super glued it many times before disposing of it. I wanted the original brand as a replacement. This one fits perfectly and was used many times for canning vegetables this summer.

My old rocker's "hat" had blown off, so I had to order a new one. It works great, and I didn't realize that my old one was going for a while until I got this one, which works so much better than the old one had in the last year.
