Love, love, love my dehydrator. In the summer I put it on the porch so it doesn't create heat in the house. I have ran this almost nonstop at times and it works a dream. Very light weight,so easy to use, very durable, fits into itself so it doesn't take up lots of space, a little noisy inside so it was mostly used outside..

Ordered these for my new dehydrator in order to have additional trays. They look and fit just like the trays that came with the dehydrator.

I got these to double my dehydro's capacity. It should've come with 8 trays if you ask me. These couldn't have cost more than .10 to make, so for a few bucks extra I could have the dehydrator as it should've been. I think Presto has taken a page from EA's book and hoped these types of microtransactions would help the bottom line.Having said that, they're a perfect fit. It still dries just as quickly as it did with 4.

Works great for Jerky! Just what the doctor ordered! I kept running out of room making jerky and would often have to run 2-3 batches to dry everything out. Now I can get most of it done in 1.5 batches! I haven't noticed any difference in the quality of the jerky using 6 shelves instead of 4. They fit perfectly on the dehydrator and stack nicely as well. Seem to be the real deal!

I got my Presto Model 6300 dehydrator about 6 years ago and love it. I use my dehydrator throughout the summer to dry peaches, nectarines, apples, and pears and sometimes in the winter, especially for bananas. The one drawback was that it only came with 4 trays. I have fruit trees, so I have an ample supply to use and 4 trays was not enough. To help with throughput, I bought 4 more trays 5 years ago. The manual says it can use up to 8 trays, so this would be perfect. In reality, I have found that 8 trays is too much, causing excessive drying time. I cap out at 6 trays normally, and sometimes spill over to 7. Having at least 2 extra trays is definitely worth it.The one drawback as others have noted is that they are a little difficult to clean. These are the same trays that come with the unit so the issue is with the original trays. Bits of fruit get into the crevices where the ribs meet. To clean them, I wash them in the sink and use a nylon vegetable scrubber to get into the crevices.

Presto is a family name because I've always used PRESSURE COOKERS by Presto, so I bought the four-racks dehydrator. If you use a peeler-corer for apples pears and Asian Pears, you get dried fruit in 4 hours or slightly more, just as the BOOK says. So if I do the work in the morning, I can put the fruit into wax paper bags and tins before I go to bed. WORKED GREAT.WHY it got 4 stars: In the book it says, not every dehydrator will do the BEST JOB with every fruit. And it recommends cutting grapes in half....ARE YOU SERIOUS PRESTO? I had over 2000 bunches of INTERLAKEN GRAPES, an excellent seedless that makes LOTS of raisins every year. I usually pick them about 100 bunches at a time, cover with a sheet and let them naturally wilt before pulling out the main stems as I put them on the trays to dehydrate. So I did the same thing....they burst with the 165 degree temperature, and they COOKED. The result was a gold colored very sweet fruit compared to the DARK BROWN flavorful raisins from last 7 years. So I would prefer to be able to adjust the TEMPERATURE to 145 for a day then 165 instead of NO TEMP adjustment on the Presto dehydrator. Also they do not mention rotating the layers after a few hours, and some spots dry too much if left with no rotation.
