Bought this for my girlfriend who is a doctor. She likes the retracting filament for testing nervous system response but overall the part seems cheap.

As a podiatry student, I do neurological testings on every feet, and I need both a reflex hammer and a monofilament. All my classmates are in awe and envious of this hammer, since the monofilament slides right in and is protected within the hammer when not in use. You need to carry both for all clinics, so why not have a 2-in-1? If you are a podiatry student, do yourself a favor, you should definitely get this.

Nice hamner with very practical retracrible blue monofilament. A little bit more weight towards the head would be nice. Turbo delivery...

Worth the price you pay but not more! If you're considering becoming a neurologist, you should shop around a little.

this is a great instrumentfor the price. not only can you use it to learn but you can also use it in practice. you can also use it to play doctor hanky panky with your girlfriend/boyfriend ( if you know what I mean wink wink) it also has the tickler on the bottom for testing sensory loss. I like it and my girl friend likes it and its a good price.

The monofilament was very flimsy. Bent and would no longer advance out of the handle. The mechanism broke and now it's just a hammer. I'll gave to find another monofilament device. Another Pierce of equipment I was trying to avoid lugging around. Not very well made.. I've seen better...

This reflex hammer works really well and the price is unbeatable. The hammer is very sturdy and I think that I will definitely get a great deal of use out of it. If you are considering getting this hammer, I think that you should definitely go ahead and buy it!

The item works well and is heavy enough to elicit reflexes much better than other tomahawk hammers I've used. Babinkski hammers were still much easier to use.The item's craftsmanship is very rough. The edges between components are not smooth, and the finish has some irregularities here and there. Even the rubber head of the hammer has some rough points. All of these flaws are aesthetic and do not affect the functionality of this hammer.

Very nice hammer. Extremely light weight. I like how it has the different size ridges on each side to adjust how much weight you want to apply while illciting a reflex. I love that it has a monofiliment attachment at the bottom.

This is a good hammer for what I need (clinicals). It's not the highest quality, for the price I think you're getting what you pay for and I'm very happy with it.

The monofilament malfunctioned almost immediately, I had to hold the monofilament to keep it from being pushed back in and had to withdraw it manually. Total piece of crap.
