My Mom used prestige and Hawkins pressure cookers. When I moved to US I bought Hawkins pressure cookers. But I needed pressure pan kind of cooker. So I bought these two 2L and 5LI have barely used these so far. When I tried to use them 2 days ago I found their gasket leaking. Now in India people use pressure cooker 1000s of time before changing the gasket. Mine went bust in just a few times.Do they not use the right rubber for pressure cooker selling overseas? Do they just not care customers away from their own market?I am so disappointed to have these two...now I need to buy the new gasket and spend more money??I would not recommend this pressure cooker at all. I hope their rep will reach out and help me resolve the issue...I look forward to write an updated reviewI feel I am creating a Prestige pressure cooker graveyard in my kitchen

Package was just fine. Great for direct cooking in pressure pan. Biriyani came out soft and fluffy. I also make sambhar and other gravies directly in the pressure pan. Good for cooking from 2 to 3 people. I like the pressure indicator for building up and release. Also great for anyone looking to change from aluminium to steel. 5 stars from me. !👍

I read through the manual and understood the safety features in detail.. Basically you can look through the hole on the lid to make sure it is not blocked in order to be safe. There is fail safe upon fail safe to prevent this cooker from reaching higher thresholds... It has 3 different mechanisms like valve, nut and gasket that either melt or open under higher than normal pressures to release build up... And it is effective as there are 3 different fail safes that give you peace of mind if you forget to turn the stove off.. Really impressed... Heat distribution is also excellent... new model... does the job.. might replace my older pressure cookers with this model...

This pot is very nice looking. However, it's hard to open and close. I had my previous pot for a long time, so I don't know how the new mechanism is supposed to work. This pot whistles and stops as opposed to constant whistle when it's under pressure. It scared me and of course I had to open and shut it a few times before the meat actually softened up. My dog also gets scared when this thing puffs a sudden whistle. I was going to return it, but I think that's how they are now. Instapot, here I come.

In the middle of the lockdown, my old trusted cooker gave up (more than a couple of decades old). This was an emergency buy. It has met all my expectations, is sturdy, and works as it is supposed too. I see some other reviews were people complain about difficulty opening the lid, but I did not face any such difficulty.I have used it a few times, and it has worked exactly the way, I expected it to. I am very happy with the product.

I like this pressure cooker very much, firstly it has induction base and it is just the right size for my family. Good pure steel. I use it to cook my lentils, meats and legume on a induction cook top. It takes little time to get used to with this product, as one has to know how much to load to cook, how time it takes and how much liquid to put it in the pressure cook to prevent over flowing the liquid. I always used Prestige brand for many years so it was easy for me to get it work for me. I would highly recommend this product who wants to save time and money.
