No matter how careful you are, the sand gets wet and clogs up. Just made a mess, and did not clean any more than just a regular pressure washer.

The most important thing is to use proper blasting media. You can use ultra-fine sand and you will get results, but the less quality the blasting media, the more headaches you're going to deal with. Also replace the hose and get better clips. The red hose that comes with the kit is pretty cheap and I don't think the clips will stand up to the long term use. Other than that, yeah, this is an extremely affordable sand blast at home kit that works!

Use dry playground sand, keep the sand suction tube on top of the wand. Be prepared for a mess and to be completely soaked within minutes. I used to blast a front suspension cross member. Used 2 bags of sand and took about 30 minutes.

Yes it does work but..... first things first, Throw away the hose clamps and hose that comes with the kit. The hose is not clear and you cannot see where the stoppage is and you will have stoppage. The hose clamps will strip so while you are getting 10 ft of 1/2 inside dia. of clear vinyl tubing get the clamps. Do not allow loops in the hose while using. At the bottom of the loop in the hose is where you will get a clog ( see clear vinyl tubing). Of course allow no water to get in the tubing. Have at strong power washer, at least 3000 psi. Next, not saying play sand will not work but I use the sakrete sand that has been sifted and I can still get some clogging. When you are going to stop sand blasting pull the siphon out of the sand. If you dont it will all settle in one spot and may clog. With all that said I like how it works with water pressure and allows me do many cleaning projects with just a power washer. So is it worth the effort, I would say yes . You just have to modify the parts a little. It is not very expensive to do so.

The product is as described. It is of high quality and worked with my 2000 psi pressure washer. I would buy it again.

The hose could be better as far as flexibility goes and longer however no complaints with the quality Vs. the price as a whole! It did seal just fine and vacuum was not an issue. The clamps tightened up without stripping or letting loose during use, I do not have much use as I am from the north and projects requiring this product is coming to close but it did work on a trailer project I wanted to do some touch up on before pulling the boat for the season. I do have a quality gas powered pressure washer which I am sure helps with no back spray into the nozzle like you often hear with pressure washer sand blaster nozzles. I did not have a single issue or complaint and just the small project I completed made it worth it alone. There is no wear to the tip so will be good to go for more no question!
