This is one of the best radios I have ever used. I’m not an expert but I got the SWR right on the money and it works great! Good looking radio too. It’s a PRES.

My first President radio. Also my first FM capable CB. I'm a happy customer. It replaced another radio, so installation was as easy as switching the mount, the other radio mount was 3/4" too narrow, then everything else was connected as quick as I could tighten the antenna, attach the anderson electric connectors, and attach the radio to the correct mount with the nice large finger knobs included with this radio. Made a few choices in the menu options, roger beep, cyan color, verified the SWR, turned down the dimmer to please my eyes, and I'm up and running. I've got the McKinley II, AM/FM SSB on my wish list. One will be my base set, the other will go in my truck. President electronics has a great reputation, and they did not dissapoint.

I love the fact it has weather band however the mic is too small keeps falling from my hands. I cannot pick up the mic without changing channels. I have to get my unit adjusted to send recieve properly but it does work great. And gotta replace the microphone

This is a well made radio. Has AM and FM with internal SWR meter function for tuning the antenna and output RF power adjustment knob, scan function and more. Some of the reviewers on CBs complain that the new CB radio they received is only putting out say 2-1/2 watts, for example, and it should have 4 watts out, so they are sending it back. That is a mistake.Typically, it will not be the radio, it will be the failure of the buyer to tune the antenna to the radio using an SWR meter (standing wave ratio). All users are responsible to due this or have it done by a radio shop. That is in the manual. Some of the newer radios have this function built in but are not always accurate and would be better tuned with an external in-line SWR meter. If they initially have an SWR of from 2 to 3, for example, that could kill off 1 to 1-1/2 watts of output RF power on these new radios. They are more sensitive and easily affected than the much older ones.I have tested this recently with my purchase of a new President Walker III. It started out with only showing 2-1/2 watts and a high SWR reading, but after I tuned the antenna down to 1.2 to 1, which is almost perfect, my new radio had 4 watts of output power, as it should. Have a good day.

Got the swr set to a 1 to 1.5 I have zero communications zero nobody can hear me the needle on the gauge goes about half way if that it's just not putting out. I have until May 4th to return or replace it, I will be returning it get my money back. I really like the radio what I was looking for just wish it worked, not very happy with it
