4yr granddaughter has one of these at her Montessori school and loves "playing" with it. She says it's her favorite "toy" at school so I got one for her to have at home. She has no idea she is learning, she thinks she just playing but by golly she can add and subtract like a 1st or 2nd grader! She even tries to teach her 3yr old and 2 yr old brothers. I'm impressed with the quality as well!

This set is phenomenal with the various sets and the rings make use very easy. The extra ring can be used for the words that need extra practice. The sentences using the word on the back of the cards helps the child to figure the word out in context leading to an independent aspect. Excellent value.
