Excellent trays for organizing puzzle pieces and keeping them safe from my cats. The trays are lightweight and easy to stack. The lid keeps the pieces from "escaping".

We are puzzle nerds and these are great for sorting the pieces for 1000 piece puzzles. They stack very nicely and are solid.

This is a great way to sort pieces while working on a puzzle, especially if you have cats that like to bat pieces onto the floor to never be seen again. However, the inside of each tray is raw wood, so I might suggest laying a thin felt pad in the bottom of each. Also, the wood feels a little bit thin (not like paperboard thin, but like the bottoms of inexpensive kitchen drawers) so while they ARE many of wood, they won't last terribly long if you aren't taking care of them. Something I might have liked to see would be some way to clip them together, like a jewelry box clasp or something, just to ensure they stayed together and closed when not in use but were easy to take apart too.

This made it easy to sort and organize puzzle pieces, and kept pieces from getting dropped on the floor or lost when taking a few days for our puzzle. Worked well for 1000 piece puzzles.

This works great for sorting all those puzzle pieces. Each board is light weight so easy to pick up and move around as needed. Stack nicely to keep my area looking neat when it I. Use.

They are bigger than other trays I've had in the past. And I like that - can lay a lot more pieces before me. Although packed very, very nicely, one of the wooden trays was cracked when they arrived. A little glue on the wood and it's all fixed. The wood finish is also very attractive compared to old colored plastic trays.

I am an avid paper crafter and puzzler, so I have collected puzzle trays (including a popular plastic puzzle-shaped brand) over the years. These trays are SO handy for paper crafting, when cutting multiple pieces of a project... or for separating out your puzzle pieces when working on a larger puzzle. They are square, so unlike my puzzle-shaped branded one, they can be turned in any direction when restacking the trays to put them away. The lid is my favorite feature, because it keeps my top tray dust-free when storing for weeks at a time. I included some photos to show what I received - there are 8 nesting trays and 1 lid. I also included a photo just to show how much more spacious they are than the popular puzzle-shaped branded version. They are slightly shallower than the plastic tray, but the larger size certainly compensates for that slightly shallower difference. I love these. I'm not sure I would recommend them for young children or seniors as they wood is raw inside and on the undersides - so they can feel a bit splinter-y and sharp on the edges. If you look closely at my stacked photo, you can see where some of the bottom edges need sanding. I'm careful to only handle them by the stained/finished/smoother sides when grabbing or turning them. I think any crafter or puzzler would love these as a gift to stay organized and it allows them to walk away from the project without having to put everything away. I just stack them up, put the lid on, and everything is exactly how I left it when I have time to return to my crafting project or puzzle.
