I'm a retired physician, and I use needle holders primarily for sewing buttons, hems, etc. Trying to hold a needle by hand, especially if one is planning to push it through anything thicker than one layer of cloth, is difficult without this tool. It does come in handy sometimes for hold small parts in a given position.

I use these to clamp gauze for dipping into liquid nitrogen. Been using them for quite a while and have held up just fine. Seem to be well made for the price.

I do not miss the target using these to go number 2, no more fluid spray outside the toilet bowl ever again, these also extend and grip it just right, without any slipping for the most accurate duty call I have ever attended, a perfect shot every time. Sorry, no picture allowed.

I was a Surgical Tech for a long time & I used to have a nice needleholder @ home I used if u needed to put a few stitches in sometimes. I also used it like a needle nose plier; except in delicate situations. These, naturally are not what I am used to, but will work fine for my need.Fair quality, good buy. Bought 2.
