I'm a furniture flipper and need a scraper to remove some finishes. This works great and is sturdy! I would recomend this to any flipper!!!

Good scraper. Carbide is soft, so have a flat diamond hone nearby. You can flip the blade, but you will be sharpening the carbide. Once it starts squealing and squeaking you are dull. That being said, it’s comfortable in hand. I’m using to scrape the finish in corners on oak stairs, but now, I’m scraping the whole stair, then sanding. Much faster. If it came with a harder blade, it would be 5 stars. If you use for latex paint removal, it’s perfect, still buy a flat diamond water stone.

A real powerhouse scraper , allow to get into corners and feels great in your hand . Going to paint buy this for scraping

Does a good job but I find the blade to be uneven in that if you hold it at an angle, it scrapes better. So it's either uneven or some areas are sharper than others.

Used this to remove finish from an old table top before refinishing. Did the job. Should have come with an additional blade. Info on a replacement not clear, will have to find one.

I've only been using this for about 30 minutes, but it's making a stair renovation project go way faster. I had tried a sander with 60 grit and watco's poly remover, but this is WAY faster. Easy to use, immediately pulls the finish and most of the stain off with not all that much force. Hasn't scratched the wood on any of the flat spots, you just have to be a little more careful on the rounded areas. Don't know how long the blade will last yet but seems to be holding up so far, and it's double sided, so that's great. Amazing value compared to buying a bunch of messy strippers or gumming up sandpaper. I have to strip a skirt on some carpeted stairs, and so this is already the perfect tool for that application. Got overnight delivery as well, which really tickled my fancies.

Could have bought the oriylast year for the same price, oh well, this works better than my paint store one at really peeling through top coats of vintage furniture. Will see if the replacement blades work.

This is made from heavy duty materials. The knob/handle on top makes it so comfortable to hold onto and easy to use. You can use both arms to do the job instead of just 1. The blade is sharp and worked well to remove peeling paint from the trim on the front of our house.

These scrapers are good for removing stain finishes or paint that has not been primed. If your furniture piece has multiple layers of paint I suggest using a paint stripper instead of a scraper. I prefer using the scraper when possible because there is no prep work, no chemicals and it's really fast for getting wood down to unfinished wood. This type of scraper is very sturdy and I like that the blade can be reversed when one side gets dull so that makes it good value especially when you take into account all of the products you need when you use a stripper instead or even if you try to sand furniture down so this is more cost effective and faster way to refurnish furniture
