About this item

  • 1/16" RIGHT ANGLE RULER: The 1/16" scale, compared to the 1/8" scale of the standard carpenter square, provides more accurate measurement data. In order to read more easily, we also marked 1/4, 1/2, and 3/4 on 1 inch.
  • SPECIAL DESIGN: The unique edge support rack has a scale design, which can not only stabilize the handle, but also be used as marginal marks to draw lines. The newly added horizontal bubble of the handle can be used as auxiliary observation flatness.
  • ALUMINUM ALLOY SQUARE RULER: The carpenter square is made of aluminum alloy, the scale is laser calibrated, the markings are precise and clear, and it is highly scratch-resistant to maintain lasting accuracy.
  • ANGLE MEASUREMENT: The woodworking square has marking holes for angle marking, which can quickly mark 10 commonly used angles (5°, 10°, 15°, 22.5°, 30°, 35°, 40°, 45°, 50°, 90° ). Equipped with a scribing needle for precise scribing.
  • WIDELY APPLICABLE: The carpenter ruler has multiple functions such as measuring, tracing, and marking angles. It can be widely used in various occasions such as carpentry, construction, mathematical measurement, and hand-made manufacturing.
  • AFTER-SALES SERVICE: If the product has any quality problems during use, or you have any questions during use, please feel free to contact us, we will give you a satisfactory reply within 24 hours.

There isn't much to say. It's as described. The included punch is I think carbide tipped and very sharp, and it fits perfectly into the marked angle holes along the ruler. The only oddity is that there are no metric marks on the ruler. It isn't required, but when there's no reason not to have it, I'd rather have both.

This Preciva 12” Carpenter Square Ruler is made of a strong aluminum-alloy metal ensuring durability. The convenient bubble leveler helps make sure your square ruler is level. The ruler on the edge has measurements down to 1/16" to get more accurate markings. I do like that the attached scribing needle is attached to the side, so I won’t lose it.On the edge of the square (the orange side) there’s a lip to lay against the board being measured in order to be most accurate angles and measurements. It’s not that thick but fits nicely on the edge of my work piece. It’s as easy to use and simple as laying it flat against the board, with the orange lip fully covering the edge which gives accuracy and the best reading. Measuring it against my digital angle finders and other squares I know to be perfect 90 degrees, the is right on making it a useful tool in my shop. This is certainly not one of those $50.00 to $100.00 squares, but I can’t tell the difference. It's a very nice tool for the price.

I got this because I needed a good square for woodworking and at a fraction of the cost of other major brands known for excellent squares, it was worth a shot.First impressions were excellent. It's got a really great look to it, it's got a decent weight, and there's a plethora of different uses for it. Specifically I love that it's got the lip that allows you to ensure that you're flush with the end of the board.I ran a line test on it and it performed pretty good. It was ever so slightly off, but not enough that it would be detrimental to a piece you're working on.Because it wasn't perfectly square I can't give it 5 stars, but for the price and different options it provides, it's an excellent value for money.Overall I'd recommend giving this a shot.

This is a “90 degree” measuring device incorporating a 10” ruler, a bubble level, and an onboard scribe tool. It’s meant to be able to mark up lines using the edge of a piece as a reference. From my testing with other devices, I don’t find that the level is accurate. Also, the right angle does not seem to be precise at 90 degrees. Lastly, the flat surfaces seem to have a slight bow in them and don’t sit perfectly flat. It’s possible that I got a defective unit since most of the other reviews didn’t seem to have the issues I did with this ruler. It’s a nice concept that didn’t deliver (for me).

This is a nice multi-function carpenter square. it is handy for marking out basic angles, doing some basic leveling, and making straight lines. It's not really the best at any one of those things but if you need an all-in-one tool or if you're just someone doing a couple things around the house then this is a good option.

I needed to replace my older square that had now become difficult to read due to metal discoloration, and a lack of square that a could not fix. I have three squares based on different size ranges and this one fits in the middle. I had purchased a collection of files from Preciva that have turned out quite nicely so figured I would give them a try for this. At first I was a little concerned because when I checked it after an accident drop it was not actually square. Taking a hex wrench though I simply loosened the two screws, moved it to square, and then tightened again. A nice little engraving at the pivot point makes this relatively easy as you align to the marking. There is a nice little scribe in the hilt but I am not sure how much I will use it except as a sharp point that could work like a pin. I likely won’t use the scribe because the holes in the ruler are the perfect size for my Pica Dry pencil. I was not sure how handy the edge support would be on the hilt but admittedly it is quite handy when scribing along an edge. Using the square to set the level on a wire shelf, the edge support helped make holding the square with one finger rather easy too.Aside from the initial realization that I may have knocked it out of square, it feels sturdy and well made. The accidental drop didn’t leave any marks on it, and the screws ensure that you can reset it.

Metal was clean, no oils or burs. The square seems accurate to me I ran it over some things that were made true and I didn't see any wobble or bowing. The spirit level seems to agree with my other spirit level so take that for whatever its worth lol. That edge for making vertical lines needs to be held in place rather particular as it is a bit prone to deviation during travel. Once I figured out how it preferred to be gripped it was easy enough to guide.

This carpenter square is a large tool that would have been much better received if not for its poor shipping protection. It arrived in an unsealed plastic bag inside an Amazon-sealed plastic mailer. No support or protection. Unfortunately, this led to at least three noticeable deep mars, which I've highlighted in the review photos.Despite the cosmetic damage, I was relieved to find that the square still appears to be true and accurate. I checked it against a level that I trust, and it aligns well. Holding it up to a straight edge with bright light behind it showed it’s mostly true to 90°—not perfect, but quite close. The square does have some nice features, like a built-in scribe near the level vial, many measurements, angles, and holes for your scribe or pencil. At $22 (at the time of review), it's reasonably priced, though the poor packaging and resulting scratches do dampen its appeal. While it’s still square and functional, I can’t help but wish it had been shipped with more care.

The Preciva Carpenter Square is a quality aluminum tool, with nicely etched with easy to read measurements. 1/16" increments gives you more precise measurements and the L-Square has 1/4", 1/2" & 3/4" easy to read markings in each inch. The square also has holes to mark 10 commonly used angles and a bubble for a handy level. The square has a scribe screwed in to assist with markings. This a quality well made tool at a great value price.

This is a great square. It is larger than a traditional framing square which has been useful for a couple layout jobs. I like that it is am "L" shaped square with the ability to lay out angle like a "triangle" shaped square. The build in level and scriber are a nice touch.
