I should have check the accuracy for non metric measurements. the dial is worse than useless and measurements will very depending how hard you push. My old General brand Non-Magnetic Plastic Dial Vernier Caliper was infinitely better.I should have returned these but I could find the packaging.

I I have two real calipers but wanted one that was non-magnetic because I need to size some magnets. the first thing I checked was a 1/4" router bit. it measured .265 so this is an unacceptable tool. too bad I can't give it less than one star. Don't waste your time or money.

The most important thing a caliper needs is the ability to reset the dial needle. NO way to do that. Plus there is dirt inside the dial. Not even worth sending back. I sent it to the trash can.

Instead of a plastic dial caliper, I received a metal vernier caliper. In fact, two of them, in two different shipments, both wrong. The label (sticker) on the back said it was a plastic dial caliper, but the printing on the front (correctly) described the product as a "metal vernier caliper." A rare Amazon misstep.

Spent over an hour studying the graduations on this piece of crap and still don't think that I can use it accurately. It will not extend past 5.40 inches/ 136mm. It probably will be in the trash can soon so that i wont make measuring errors. I would give it less than 1 star if it were an option.

absolutely worthless! You can't zero the dial, its made very cheaply. Its not even remotely close to being accurate. This thing went right into the trash.

The dial stopped working already (I had it for one week). Even when it was working it was not accurate. Do not waiste money on this. Buy a better one!
