These are the perfect shape for a pop up guinea pig pen. They are actually water proof so the pee doesn’t soak through. I just wish they were slightly more “grippy.” They tend to slip around so they don’t hold in place as well as I’d like. It’s not enough to make it a deal breaker.

With all my guinea pigs, as well as the occasional rescue squirrels or pups, I need to clean the pens frequently, and when I was using the disposable pads it was VERY expensive, as well as not covering the bottoms of their little portable cages. I bought these for the portable cages because they're the same shape, but I also bought several packs of the long rectangular ones for covering the bottoms of their large runs.This has made my life so much easier! I spot clean these daily and then wash them every weekend. I used to have to change the disposable underlays every single day so they wouldn't get saturated in pee and spilled water, etc. These are far more absorbent, but whisk the moisture away from the surface, so the piggies aren't sitting in an uncomfortable, unhygienic mess. I wish I could afford to buy hundreds of these for our local animal shelters!!

We needed an alternative to pine chips for duckling bedding. These have worked perfectly. They are so soft the ducks like to snuggle against it, they provide enough friction the ducks can walk/run on them without slipping, and they are the perfect size for my pop up pin. The size matches the dimensions in the product description. They are thick like a microfiber blanket and pull moisture away. They are durable. I wash with bleach and detergent and dry daily. They still looked and feel like new.

We’ve been trying everything for our rescued duck who hates being outside every since a bird flew at him. It never got close but maybe it reminded him of his first day or two of life dodging cars alone in a parking lot. Anyways we’ve tried wood chips hemp even coconut noir but after a couple of days it stinks and is hard on his webbed foot that was injured possibly in the parking lot he was found in (my husband’s job) they watched for 10 hours to see if they could find his family but no ducks showed up at the pond or parking lot for 3 months that resembled him or his breed. Anyways back to these pads, they are a little bigger than the canvas coup we keep him in at night but they don’t aggravate his deformed foot and since we change it every night there is absolutely no smell. With having 4 were able to put one in the coup and one on his favorite perch area during the day. I do a load of his pads every night and hang to dry by the next morning they are dry and ready to use. I also use a thin plastic sheet under the pad in his coup incase he decides it’s bath night which is every other night unless he decides and extra one is needed. I will probably buy more just in case. I really really like these they are thick and soft awesome to sleep on or just play with your toys

Octagonal pads aren't overly abundant in the market, but these were just what I hoped for. We have a puppy that has an octagonal play yard and I wanted a soft, washable topper for the main base pee pad I have under them. I was pleasantly surprised to find out how nice these were, especially for the price. The fabric is sculptured where the little paw prints are. It is super soft and we even use them to wrap up our baby while we hold her and its a bit cool. These are huge work and time savers when it comes to clean up. We have a paper pee pad on top of this as her target, but some times she misses. I don't have to clean everything in the pen. Just pull up the soiled pad and put down on of the other 3 that are in the set. and put the soiled one aside for washing. They wash beautifully and come out soft and without pills or matting on the surface. Great deal and very cute too!
