McMaster Carr sells aluminum extrusion with 5mm slot for some reason, but they dont have many t-nuts to go with it. Unless you 3D print your own T-Nuts these are the only ones I found that fit the 5mm slot.

Sub-standard quality in channel contacts compared to edges on dozens of others. The corners of the edges are rounded on every piece. It appears sanded by hand prior to finish coating. Some are curved so much that it only contacts in the middle. This reduces the contact surface to the channel of the extrusion. The vendor markets the product in images to be superior to the hammerhead style by contact surface.

Just push a 009 o-ring underneath the nut. It hooks right on the protrusion. Then insert the nut into the extrusion as usual and presto, the nut stays where you push. Fantastic!

I needed M5 t-nuts to mount 20mm linear bearing rail on 25 series 80/20 extrusions for my CNC upgrade. These are designed for 20 series rail but they still fit well with enough bite to work. I torqued a few well beyond m5 spec and they did not strip out. The threads seemed perfectly formed in all the ones I used (about 3/4 of the pack).

I'm never sure when I order something like this through Amazon, how good its going to be. Finish and threading are good. Very satisfied.

Sirve, pero no es de buena calidad. hay que limar los bordes para que entre bien en el aluminio

Product (metal nuts) was good but for the oddest reason came heavily perfumed, to the point I had to put them outside. Probably done with best of intentions but caused me a major headache (literally).

I bought motedis extrusions with a 5 mm slot opening that standard hammer head nuts wouldn't fit. These worked perfectly.

They work! you just plan ahead and drop them down the slot. They are quick to assemble and there are some other types that drop in (hammer head) if you forget to slide one in. The slide in are much easier (IMO) to build with and the hammer heads are great to drop in if you leave one out but take a bit more fiddling to align..
