I ordered this for my five year old, but after he got in some major trouble, his consequence was loosing a toy out of his “prize” bin that we use for good behavior. This was the toy I chose, he was very upset, but he did choose to gift it to the neighbor kids, and I see them playing with it all the time. It seems to work well on a variety of surfaces (their driveway, the wooden ramp they built for it out of plywood), and it zips around and stays upright with ease. They have a big household of kids, and they fight over who gets to play with it. I was surprised it stays upright so well. It’s a nice size, and they had it up and running very quickly, and their ages range from 4-9 years old, so it must be easy to use. They’ve had a lot of fun using it, and for the price, I may purchase another for my child to put back in the prize bin.

I tried this out with my wife and her nephews at a holiday get-together. Here are a few thoughts:First thing, make sure you have a nice, smooth surface to drive this on. As you can see in the video, it gets stuck on even the slightest bit of bumpy road.Secondly, we couldn't figure out how to turn off the engine noise. Granted, we didn't spend too much time figuring it out, but this thing is loud! I could see it easily annoying people in the other room.I think this would be better for a younger child, maybe 5-7 years old. A RC motorcycle is a nice change of pace from your regular, boring RC cars/etc, and there is definitely some fun to be had here. It entertained us, and kept those rascals from getting into mischief, at least for a little while.

I'll start off with the controls - easy to learn and master, the bike is very responsive to remote control input. There's one button to move forward and another button to spin, rather than turning left or right. It takes AA batteries so you don't have to wait for it to charge, play time can start right out of the box, so that's convenient. The big wheels on the vehicle aren't what move it though - there are two small plastic wheels at the bottom. This means it doesn't go very fast, and can't really handle any terrain beyond a smooth hardwood floor. It's a great RC vehicle to entertain the little ones, but I don't think it's worth the price point with its capabilities.

Probably the only issue I have with this is needing to use 6 disposable AA batteries in it to run; other than that it is a super fun toy! Everything works perfectly, my son has been driving it all over the pavement doing spins and zooming back and forth. It handles dirt and grass decently, wont spin but will driver forward. It doesn't turn either I've noticed, or it's hard to turn anyway, but that's ok. He's having fun.
