These are a great deal compared to the Festool equivalent clamp. Works the same and pretty much constructed the same in terms of metal thickness and structure.But the tongue of the clamp is marginally wider than the Festool (12.05mm vs 11.45mm). They will fit in the Festool tracks but did not fit in one of my 3rd party manufactured "Festool compatible" tracks. If you're using Festool branded tracks these are a great deal. If you're using non-Festool brand tracks be prepared for them to not fit or measure your track's slot before ordering.

Work just fine with my rails. If anything, I'm not a big fan of the tightening style of this clamp and others like it. It's not super easy to tighten with one hand and it takes getting used to if you're more familiar with Jorgensen's E-Z hold and others of that mechanical style.

Quick and easy way to clamp down material on a dog hole workbench. Not to mention on any T track slots too on jigs. Great price versus some of the other options I saw when researching these.

I got these because the other brands overprice them, and have the same design and build quality. These work very well, put up with rough use, and are very convenient.

The clamps arrived loose in an unnecessarily large box. The clamps are steel and heavy for their size. They have a somewhat brittle plastic pad to protect the work surface from the metal clamp.One of the plastic pads was broken with loose pieces in the box.The problem was most likely due to insufficient padding needed to protect the clamps during shipping. There was no padding, only a small piece of wadded up kraft paper.I informed the "POWERTEC Team" and asked them to send me the small plastic pad that had been broken. I doubt the plastic pad would cost them more than $0.25. Add 60¢ or so for shipping and we're talking less than a dollar.Instead of sending me the part they began a correspondence asking me for info I'd already sent them, then asking me to send them more info. , which I did. It was not good enough. They demanded I send them a photo of the broken 25¢ part.I'd already spent at least half an hour figuring out how to contact them, document the order number, etc., etc. Now they want me to spend another half hour or more finding the box with the broken pieces, photographing it, uploading the photo to my computer, uploading that to their form, so on and so on.I informed them my time was not so cheap and would return the clamps rather than waste more time dealing with their bureaucratic process with no assurance of a positive outcome for me.The cause of the problem was Amazon's poor packaging.I don't blame Powertec for that.Rather than pursuing a way to get Amazon to package such items so they don’t arrive with broken parts they seemed to be pursuing me with unreasonable demands.So, here I am. I'd rather spend half an hour alerting others to Powertec's nonsense way of dealing with this simple problem than spend it dealing with their deaf and dumb shortsighted customer service "team" whose answer to this little problem is to wear down their customer to the point that he gives up and lives with the broken pieces of their product that were sent to him.Many companies make good products. For products of equal quality I'd rather pay a little more for good customer service than fight with a customer support "team" that would rather lose a customer than spend an extra dollar to keep him happy and a viable customer for future product orders.Absurd!

Clamps seem to work well and easy to operate, but on the second use one of the two protection pads cracked. The fourth time I use them the other pad cracked in half and I threw it away before taking a picture. Now I have duct tape on the metal shoes to help protect my wood. Hopefully somebody else makes a better pad for the powertec clamp.

I use quick clamps frequently, especially on a dog hole table or bench they are a ‘must’. They also come in handy for some other tasks. Before trying the Powertec, I used exclusively another brand that however is more pricey. After using the Powertec clamp for several months now, I cannot find any reason why It would be any lower quality compared to the more expensive competitor. Sometimes I use them to secure track saw guide rails (T-slot). Both brands fit Festool, Makita, and Powertec rails. Built materials and construction are adequate and similar, slightly more clamp depth on Powertec, slides easily, high clamp force can we applied, if needed, w/o any issues (so far). Release mechanism is easy w/o pinching a finger. Ergonomically I like the other brand better because of the shorter ratcheting stroke length, smaller clamp angle. This can be an advantage when using it very frequently. The latter remark might be subjective because I’m more used to the other brand. All things considered, The Powertec is a better buy for the average user in my opinion. I give it 5 stars because of the better price/performance in my comparison.
