These blast gates work very well. My only complaint is they're a little stiff to open and close so you have to hold the hose with your other hand.

These are easier to use than the basic black plastic. They don't leak and I recovered a lot of lost suction by switching to these.

This is just like a lot of brands of dust collection gates. Plastic ones aren't as durable as metal and may come apart if stressed, but they work and are inexpensive. This one is as good as any and a good value.

I really wasn't sure the plastic blast gates would be any good. I started with the crappy black plastic ones and replaced them with metal. The metal ones didn't fall apart like the black ones but they leaked bad and were noisy. Based on the good reviews I decided to try the Powertec orange blast gates and after a few weeks I'm happy to report they work great and it appears they will last a long time. The best part is they seal good. No air leaks, no whistling sounds, whether they are open or closed. They work like they should. I have them on a drum sander, belt sander, jointer/planer, and bandsaw. So I have fine dust and chips and neither seem to cause any clogging issues. I plan to replace all my other 4" blast gates with these. Highly recommend.

It's not hard to clear the clogs, but sawdust has gotten stuck in these twice now causing me to disassemble, clear the sawdust and reassemble.

So these are great, but the plastic needs roughed up so the clamped hose will stay on. They do self clear, and close Everytime with no failure after a year.

I just finished building a big workbench which includes my table saw, miter saw and router. Plus my shop vac is mounted on the underside. These gates were vital in building a dust collection system. Now I just open or close the gates, and magic the dust is drawn from the tool to the vacuum.

Produto de excelente qualidade. A Powertec é uma empresa america e possui uma vasta linha de produtos. Esse produto eu comprei na Amazon.br e chegou no dia seguinte, pois eles tinham estoque aqui no Brasil, mas a Amazon dos Estados Unidos também comercializa e envia para o BRasil. O melhor, é que os preços já incluem as taxas de importação. Só o prazo de entrega que geralmente é um pouco mais longo, dependendo do item.Assim que eu finalizar meu projeto de bancada para minha serra Dewalt 7492, publicarei fotos.Recomendo.

Is a solid product but after opening for use dust gets in the grooves and it wont close causing air to come through so opening another gate you get less suction. I have to hit it against the floor and shake the dust out. Not sure how to correct this have not found a way.
