5 Micron Filtration Grade
Airborne particles are extracted and trapped in your filtration system and not released into the air that you breath. Not only are these filters capable of intercepting particles that are 5 microns or larger – but they’ll help eliminate those unwanted particles that can contaminate the air and your workshop surroundings. Additionally, the outer filter helps prolong the lifespan of your secondary filter. Thus allowing your dust-collection system to operate at an optimal level with maximum effectiveness.

Specifically designed for the POWERTEC AF4000, AF4001 these outer filters are utilized in a variety of industries and work with a select number of 3-Speed AF systems. Fits well, it will replace the old filter next month. I get about 10 cleanings of these outer filters using a blow off gun with the compressor before the filter material looses its structural integrity, just be sure to do it from the clean side to push out the dust off from the dirty side and do it outside on a windy day and stay up wind from the filter so you don't get covered in dirt.A super simple hack that will keep your inner filter much cleaner and make the outer filter work to its best capacity is to simply take painters tape and seal the 5 micron filter to the filtration housing. takes about five cents worth of tape and less than a minute to do but what a huge improvement in keeping the inner filter really clean. you will save lots of money and get better filtration.

The snug fit of the Powertex outer air filter just about eliminates dust infiltration around the air intake. This reduces the superfine dust particles floating in the air helping keep you shop air suitable for breathing.

I bought the WEN 3410 from the Blue home improvement store as I was given a gift card. I bought the 3410, installed it and noticed a gap around the sides and tops with the outer WEN filter installed. The fit of the interior filter was fine. I read one review that stated the outer filters from WEN fit loosely.Today, my POWERTEC 75040 5 Micron Outer Filter came in from Amazon so I decided I would see how it fits in the 3410. Can you believe it, these POWERTEC 75040 filters actually fit better than the outer filter that comes with the unit! With a horrible fit, I would be replacing the inner filter sooner rather than later!Attention WEN Quality Control; fix your outer filters, they don't fit!I will be buying POWERTEC filters for this unit going forward. The ones coming with the WEN are a waste of time and money.

It’s hard to believe how much wood dust can be in the workshop air until you see how much dust collects on this filter. Save your lungs!

These replaced the mfr. unit. The ratings are the same, the sizing is the same and I note no difference in performance. What is noted, is less cost per unit. Very nice product for my woodshop.

Work as well as the units from the various dust filters manufacturers. Fit well as good as those from the units vendors. Appear to be made in the same factory as those from the various units vendors. Filter as well as those as verified by what appears in the finer internal filters. A great savings
