I 16-year-old grandson is a superb baseball player. He was trained for about a year with a special coach who normally only works with college age . These turned out to be fantastic.

These are well made, nice variety, and durable. Great training tool for baseball players. I use every week with my 11U team. Recommend for the price.

Not for hitting! If you want to strengthen those arms these balls and exercises are for you. Comes with a carrying bag and a list or exercises to try

So these velocity balls are advertised with the 4 weight levels provided … 10 oz, 7 oz, 5 oz, and 3.5 oz. But I made an assumption was this was appropriate for incremental weights above the weight of a baseball for varying levels of difficulty. A standard baseball weighs 7 oz. So the 5 oz and 3.5 oz balls are actually lighter weight. Only the 7 oz ball (same as a baseball) and 10 oz balls are useful for developing strength with “weighted” balls. And if you want heavier than 10 oz, you are out of luck.I’ll admit that I didn’t consider this before the purchase, and could’ve figured out that only 1 ball was actually heavier than a baseball. Had I realized that, I would not have ordered these for my son. In order to develop arm, shoulder, and hand strength, we were looking for heavier than standard balls. As a result, this set is of limited value to him. He’s used the 10 oz ball some, but is ready to go heavier, and so I need to go find another set now.I do see in other reviews how the lighter weight balls can be good for rehab or physical therapy exercises after an injury. But that wasn’t my intent in getting these, so the value is lower for me.I will say the quality of the rubber material is very good. They are thick, and I don’t expect them to rip even with repeated throws against a brick wall. They can also be used for batting practice because they won’t travel as far as a baseball, but again, I only see value in doing that with 7 oz or heavier balls. Perhaps the lower weights would be good for very young kids to develop a swing earlier.Quality keeps these as a 3 star rating for me, and the PowerNet brand is excellent. My son has a large catchers bag from them and we have been very happy with it. As long as you know that 3 of the 4 of these are not truly weighted balls that are heavier than a baseball, then this could be a very good set for your needs. It just didn’t meet mine.

Overall decent for being able to practice with and having various weights. Comes with a bag for storage. The material though seems a bit different and makes it feel like maybe for physical therapy for recovering arm and hand movement but not sure how it might stand up to heavy usage.

Four sizes allows for multiple levels of practice to occur. Great for building arm strength and for rehab exercises.
