I bought this microscope because I was on a camping trip and was told that I might have been infested with chigger mites/bugs. I came home and was itching for over a week So I bought a/this microscope so I could Pick at my bug bites And see if there were bugs still in me. (You would think I am crazy but look up chigger mites) Luckily i didn't find any. But I will say that I have found myself being intrigued by taking little bits of anything and viewing it. I honestly wish I had one of these as a kid. This model is pretty cool. It has enough stuff in the included kit to be helpful for alot more than what i wanted it for. I did go back online and buy some even higher powered eye pieces. I've even bought a basic storage case for slides of things that I think are interesting, that I'd like to keep.

I bought this microscope for my 10 yr old Granddaughter to upgrade the child microscope that I bought her a few years ago. She loved the other one and set up a lab in her home, collecting specimens all over the house. Her Dad was hooking it to her computer and texted some questions. I was rereading the description and found a sentence that was so appalling that I probably would have paid more for a different one if I’d noticed this before buying. Look at this sentence in the description.“Suitable for children, BOYS, students and adults”It was a woman scientist, Kizzmekia Corbett, who developed the Covid vaccine. Rosalind Franklin was the first scientist to capture a photo of DNA. Madam Curie was the first female Nobel prize winner for her discovery of radioactive elements. Lydia Villa-Komaroff developed insulin from bacteria. There are many other accomplished women in science as well. It is 2024 so please update your info for this otherwise fine product.

The product seems nice coming from a beginner and will do what I need BUT it definitely needs a better manual that you do not need a microscope to real (no pun intended). I am new and want to make sure I am doing everything right, and have no manual that I can read. Secondly I need to download something to use the eyepiece that hooks up to the computer, but don't know which one to download. I know that the limited information says to search for a viewplaycap driver, but there are several. A response from the seller with specific info would be nice.

This microscope and accessories are easy to set up and use within minutes of opening the box. Love the adjustable light brightness and ease of switching magnifying lenses.

This came w/o instructions of any help. Tried to find on web, no luck. Also power cord very short. Maybe fits when on lab table with power strip but for kids doing reports at dinning room table or desk in room, too short. Otherwise it's a microscope. It's a gift for Christmas so will let you know more later. Cannot find on web, only product ad to amazon site.

I got this for my nephew. He loves it. I don't have another one to compare it to, but it works well for the money.
