I've installed two sets of these on the front of my Excursion, both times the calipers have stuck on me within 10,000 miles. When replacing the first stuck caliper I found the 2nd side had cracked boots. I replaced both sides. The 2nd set is now stuck and overheating. I contacted Powerstop asking for advice for this ongoing problem and thier reply was they aren't in warranty and it is a caliper issue. I've never had this many problems with a set of calipers. Could something else be causing this? Absolutely but that is why I contacted the manufacturer. My brake lines are braded stainless steel. The fluid was flushed and changed. Below is my email exchange to show how worthless contacting them is.*****I put a complete set of Powerstop brakes rotors and calipers on my excursion about 4yrs ago. I don’t drive the rig very often as it is mostly used for towing and hunting. About two years ago the front left caliper locked up and everything got very hot. The right caliper slide pin boots were cracked/torn. I replaced the calipers on both front wheels. I also replaced the pads. I greased items as required with Permatex brake grease and followed the brake in procedure. Last weekend the Left front brake was stuck and very hot. The weird thing is that it would pull to the left while driving and dive to the left when braking. This leads me to believe maybe I’m having issues with both sides. I’ve done a lot of brakes on other vehicles, and I’ve never had this many problems with a set of brakes. Honestly, I’ve done them in the past and forgotten about them. All the reviews and blogs tell me your product is the one to have. Googling the issues, I’ve read the Excursions have a problem with brakes not releasing but they don’t really say why. My brake hoses are braided stainless lines with a plastic outer sheath. I had the front end rebuilt recently and so the brakes had been removed and reinstalled. The fluid was flushed at that time. The rear brakes have worked flawlessly. I ordered new brake pads and stainless brake lines. My plan is to remove both front brakes, free them up. Replace the pad and change the brake lines. Can you think of anything I maybe missing? I can’t imagine that four calipers from a company with the reputation of Powerstop are the problem. We tow a heavy trailer and as you can imagine brake that are not working at 100% ability makes me nervous.Hello,The calipers and pads that you purchased came with a 90day warranty and are no longer covered. We would not be able to replace under warranty.HI ****,I can appreciate that, but I wasn’t asking for warranty. I was asking questions to the technical department hoping to get advice from brake experts. I assume I didn’t get four bad calipers and something else maybe causing my issue. Either the duration the vehicle sits, the brake hoses etc. If you pull up my original inquiry you will see that I emailed technical support and not customer support.Hello,I can't think of anything that you are missing. The issues that you are describing are caliper specific. This is not something that we expect to happen and we are sorry to hear that there is an issue with those calipers.

This is exactly what I needed (I got pads, rotors, and calipers for all 4 wheels). Good instructions, if that's your thing. Everything I needed and more was included. Perfect fit, easy to install, and at a good price. Good performance too. My 2004 F-250 hasn't had any trouble at all with these new brakes. I do lots of hauling, 5K-12K (horses, hay, tractor, UTV, etc.), and the braking is positive and stable now. Thanks! Would absolutely buy again.

All parts fit well. After some adjustments everthing works and the improvements I was seeking are apparent.I was having minor issues with my original calipers and instead of trying to figure out if it was the sliders, hose, or caliper I purchased all new parts. This was not my first brake job and have installed aftermarket brakes on all vehicles I have owned. Some points to consider for others., and the reason I did not give five stars.1. The powdercoat gave me some issues on getting proper clearance for the driver side caliper bracket (no issues on the passenger side), specifically the inside lower brake pad stainless retainer was making slight contact with the rotor.2. The drivers side caliper bracket bolts were sugnificantly over torqued (the bracket and caliper ship assembled) and required a full length torque wrench to break loose (normal assembled torque for these bolts is only 42 ft lbs.). Again passenger side was fine.3. The passenger side caliper bleed valve was equally over-tightened and working on breaking it loose was easier once the caliper was mounted with all bolts tightened.4. Although all of the caliper sliders were lubricated with "premium silicone" I thought it was inadequate. So I added brake lube to the slider pins (CRC Ceramic Silicone) which greatly improved the ease of movement.5. No instructions or torque specs come with the product, but my Haynes manual gave me what I needed.

I bought this kit and the Power Stop K1905-36 Front Z36 Truck and Tow Brake Kit, installed them both on my 2000 F350. Wow, what a difference! My truck hasn't had brakes this nice in the 12 years I've owned it. Installation was very easy as well. Installation tip: some of the powder coating got into the threads of the brackets, it was easy to resolve by running the bolt through the bracket a few times before mounting them to the truck. I've read reviews about damage on the powder coating, mine were perfect. I've put about 1000 miles on these so far, both pulling a trailer and not, and they stop straight and true every time. My truck even feels like it rolls easier, if that makes any sense. This is an awesome brake package, I highly recommend buying it. My rear calipers and rotors are next! Outstanding product!

Installed on 2000 Ford F350 powerstroke 7.3.Perfect fit. Nice thick fire engine red powdercoat. However these calipers are hardly what I would consider "performance caliper". They are nothing more than rebuilt O.E. calipers with lip stick. That being said, they are still worth every penny and a steal at this price. 100% rebuilt with new components, and it comes with the bracket. I am very happy with them and they look great with the Powerstop drilled/slotted zinc rotors. Buy them you won't be disappointed ... or ... drop another $1000 to get true performance calipers. Still a better choice than calipers from Autozone , etc.Update - Used them about 2 months now ... no issues.
